CA schools banning Cheetos?

Hey I'm just wondering has your school started banning cheetos? Or anything that has food dyes? I saw this article and I am wondering if it has been enacted or enforced and if it's for students, faculty, all parent visitors?

Does that mean we can get a citation for having Doritos at school? Like similar to smoking near children, at the park, school is likely an infraction of the law?

Unfortunately, there are too many high level BMI individuals working at schools setting a bad example. But they just hide behind fat shaming, or there is this social norm we can't make a 40 year old adult stop eating McDonanlds or Oreos. Like somehow they should still have dignity even if they are 400 lb and can't get out of bed, or use a rascal. Like come on, how are kids going to be D1 athletes if school staff are like 300 lb McDonald or donut addicts? But they will get mad if a kid brings weed to school, but won't have the same standard if a 300lb balding man is teaching PE then goes to KFC after work. Like maybe it should be fine if they are 300 lb but they must be on a strict diet mandated by government officials.

Some moms even still eat fries and drink strawberry lemonade, which should be considered like child abuse. If eating doritos and donuts as a teacher in front of kids is socially acceptable, then I want to start smoking cigarettes in front of kids and not be judged

I saw a youtube video of a fitness guy protesting curmbl cookie and so many parents say it's for their kids. Then one day, I'm going to buy beer and cigarettes for a 5 year old and say it's for my kids and I don't want to be judged for it.

The USA and the UK - two countries separated by a common language 😀

And common sense 🤣

Really? Ours and local ones are all awful for it. It makes it easier with kids not getting jealous etc but no crisps, no chocolate / biscuit bars - or cakes that could be thought of as chocolate bars. Even cakes are a bit iffy.

Yes they are allowed crisps, biscuits etc. they aren't allowed nuts, nuts products or any drinks other than water but anything else is allowed

Yes I am in USA. I am not aware if this forum is UK based. I assumed every internet forum was based from USA, but I guess "mumt" is suppose to be British way to say mom.

I heard UK had high obesity rate, but USA takes the crown for highest obesity rate and I was part of it.

Do you honestly believe every internet forum is American?
Of course it isn't the rest of the world has the internet too and knows how to use it. In fact Sir Tim Berniers Lee who invented the World Wide Web is British not American.

US cheetos are very different to UK ones. They are very moreish

Oh yes, they are indeed. When I was pg with DS, Cheetos were the only food-like substance apart from Danish blue cheese that I could keep down.

I have been clean from McDonalds for about one week now. I had a sausage mcgriddle thing because there was a $2 coupon but I still treated like felony level activity promising my trainer, who is a former D1 athlete that I would try only eat some of it. For that day, I just made low carb tortilla & turkey wraps when I got to the beach. Even though all those tourist were probably eating $10-15 hot dogs.

And sometime this week, I ordered a iced coffee, sugar free, and cream. Hopefully I didn't commit any felony level activity. But instead of eating a cheese burger, I brought a cooler of low carb tortilla and turkey to go with my drink. And used the cup to get diet coke. Trainer said diet coke is fine. But big macs, shamrock shakes, and cheeseburgers are like felony level activity.

The struggle is real.

...and thankfully a sodding great ocean. Never have I been more pleased about that than while reading this thread. It's Canada I feel sorry for.

All this thread needs is a red baseball cap and it would perfectly sum up everything that is crazy about the USA 😂

Are you
A) Drunk?
B) American?
C) Off your tits on E numbers?

Something makes me think “E numbers” aren’t a huge talking point on the American continent.

But he was too polite to patent the internet and then Al Gore tapped into it with crocodile clips.

Some of the food dyes being banned in California have been banned for years in the UK. I don't know why Americans think it's ok to pump their kids full of chemicals that are banned in many countries.

Hmm! I watch an American on fb. He queries why the drugs and food authority are linked in America. He has travelled abroad a lot and says after eating back in America he feels awful.
Think the link is the food is controlled by big money, you feel awful/ become unwell, you need treatment which is controlled by the big money!
He literally posted that this week.

300lb is 140 kg or 21 stone, which is really an amateur fatty weight. Go and watch my 600lb life and you will see people between 600 and almost 900lb.

I don't want to!!!
