I’ve just seen this clip of them at the Brits. How do they think that this looks good? I find it so sad that they both felt the need to do this to their faces, because the perception now is that women aren’t able to age?
This isn’t woman bashing women. People can do what they like, but this is grotesque.

She has asked people to stop bashing her many times now, she keeps explaining it’s grief that has done to her yet women keep bashing her. Just stop.

I don’t see people bashing her. Not being able to eat for a sustained period of time is life threatening. And young women and impressionable girls have a tendency to copy.

Whether or not a person becomes mentally ill with weight loss is a genetic lottery. The average member of the public is blissfully unaware of the dangers around weight loss, intake restriction and skipping meals.

I was severely underweight as a teen. I was traumatised, not mentally ill. I refed myself when I relaxed. My dd is unable to do the same as she has inherited genetics presumably from my dh’s side. I basically saved dd’s life because her brain told her food is poison. She was adamant she didn’t need to eat to live. Two years on she still doesn’t really get that she’s ill.

Eating disorders are a mental illness. They should be fully discussed. I cannot say whether or not Kelly Osbourne is mentally ill or if she will naturally start to eat again. It’s been a while now though and she has access to any treatment or therapy she chooses. That she hasn’t engaged or perhaps hasn’t been able to engage, is in itself of concern.

I’m shocked at the pictures of Demi Moore. She looks so emaciated.

SomethingFun · 02/03/2026 07:48

I put three stone on when my dad died, how wonderful to know people would have be judging me as a fat sack of crap for letting grief impact my physical appearance. I saw the Brits and my thoughts for Kelly were concern for her as she doesn’t look well, not that she is responsible for how other people feel when they look at her.

scottishgirl69 · 01/03/2026 22:55

Kelly is on record as saying she's struggling very badly because of her dad's death. Yes I'm sure she's been on the weight loss injections but the grief won't be helping

Grief doesn’t remove your buccal fat.

Women are rightly worried about the extreme over reliance on plastic surgery and how it is becoming normalised, you won’t shame women into not talking about it.

TheFormidableMrsC · 02/03/2026 07:58

Admittedly I was horrified when I saw them, particularly Kelly. She looks so very ill. I know she’s lost her Dad (I lost mine at the same time) but my goodness she is skeletal. It’s really sad.

It’s not bashing, well certainly not from my perspective, it’s concern. She just looks extremely ill.

CharlotteRumpling · 02/03/2026 08:00

They both looked like this before Ozzy died. It's not grief. They have taken a hatchet to their faces.

Nosejobnelly · 02/03/2026 08:01

Why can’t we be concerned for the women - it’s not body shaming, it’s shock to see them in such a state.

Cosmetic surgery has a lot to answer for - it’s depressing that women (and some men of course) have to resort to fillers, Turkey teeth etc. People are just getting more extreme now so where is it going to end?
I lost too much weight at one point due to a medical issue (digestive, not anorexia) and my face was too gaunt so I had to find another way around the issue - who would want fat removed from their face as they age? Is it so your cheekbones jut out more. I don’t get it!

This is not about weight loss or gain due to grief. They do not look like they look due to grief. They look like that due to WLI and surgery. Because ageing isn’t acceptable anymore.

And I know Kelly is only 41, but one of the really scary things is that women are getting these procedures from a younger and younger age. Which ironically then ages them more. I googled the age of a contestant in a reality show the other day. Not saying which one or who. She basically has a smooth mask now. I expected her to be maybe mid-50s due to the extreme nature of her face changes. She was 45. Just why?

Not where I live it's not and it's not good to have that pressure to be incredibly thin especially as a teen girl!

Exactly. There are very few very obese people around where I live. They are a rarity. And anyway, this thread isn't about people who are very obese, it's about how worryingly thin and gaunt Kelly Osborne is, and how the weight loss injections have clearly harmed her.

The whataboutery is not helping.

Elsvieta · 02/03/2026 18:47

Bloody hell, saw Kelly first and genuinely though for a second that was Sharon.

Nobody naturally has a jawline quite like Sharon's. Not the old, not the young. It's like...a third thing. That only exists through surgery. Ditto the lips.

MissAustenMadeAQuilt · 02/03/2026 19:08

TomatoSandwiches · 01/03/2026 21:20

This is grief imo, not plastic surgery. Kelly especially has lost a lot of weight since her pa died and I won't make any other comments about her appreance.

Many of us, including myself, have had mothers and fathers die-sometimes in tragic, very early or unexpected circumstances and haven't ended up looking like these two women.

It is not unusual to suffer a death of a parent-it doesn't normally lead to this. Their lips didn't puff up because of grief did they or maybe it's a little known side effect and they did.

They have lost unnatural amounts of weight and have had too much plastic surgery and I think that is what has led to them looking like this.

I find them quite frightening looking and I really really really don't think this is down to grief.

MissAustenMadeAQuilt · 02/03/2026 19:14

scottishgirl69 · 01/03/2026 23:37

Cheryl Tweedy got the same scrutiny when she lost weight after her first marriage broke down and when her second husband's dad died. Yes of course famous people are always going to be talked about when their weight fluctuates but I think women get it far tougher at times.

There's an expectation that women should look a certain way -and if you are too thin or too big - then you'll be torn to bits by the press if you are famous. The daily mail have papped so many women over the years and torn them to pieces over how they look. Their size. Their cellulite.

As for people having work done - I personally never would but again it's down to how society thinks people should look.

We really have to make sure that no woman is expected to look like this and one of the ways of doing that is not to normalise it but to call it out for how literally horrifying it is.

We have to make sure that young women especially never ever have to feel that they have to look anything like this and if that means not saying silent when we see images like these, then so be it.

MissAustenMadeAQuilt · 02/03/2026 19:20

KaleQueen · 01/03/2026 23:04

No. It’s body shaming.

And what is wrong with that in this instance?

If we don't condemn it than we normalise it and young women will follow suit.

Sometimes, looking the other way and pretending something like this is ok does immense amounts of harm.

Kelly1969 · 02/03/2026 19:23

Sharon has looked the same for years, but it’s shocking that Kelly looks so much like her and honestly a similar age!
The weight loss is more the issue but she’s def had her lips done and I wouldn’t be surprised if her face has been tweaked as she probably has some sagginess around her face after the weight loss.
She looks like Skeletor, really ill, and I am not one to say she looked fine when she was overweight, she did need to lose weight but she’s gone overboard.
She looked awful in the photos before Ozzy died so I don’t think you can blame grief tho I’m sure it hasn’t helped.

Fat removed cos of saggy skin due to weight loss?
I have lost 5.5 st, 16st to 10.5st, I have def sagginess in my face due to weight loss, I think Kelly’s face has been stretched and tweaked, and she’s gone overboard.
Bad surgeon to take so much of, as it’s aged her so much.

This. It's all the procedures they've both had done. Kelly lost weight. Fine. Then she went down the cosmetic surgery, tweakment route. And this is how you end up looking.
In my view it looks like a 'mask' and it's not a good look but each to their own.

The whataboutery is not helping.

Weight loss jabs haven’t harmed her, going overboard and continuing to lose weight long after she’s reached a healthy weight has harmed her.
That and the work she’s has done, her fake lips and face aren’t the result of MJ, she has been badly advised that the work she’s had done was a good idea.

likelysuspect · 02/03/2026 19:39

For some reason people just dont seem to understand what surgery she has had. She has had fat removed from her lower cheeks. Thats why she looks ill and like someone who has their teeth missing, ever seen a person without their false teeth in, thats what it looks like.

Thats not the usual fillers and 'tweakments' as someone said. Its changing the whole scaffolding of your face. Lots of celebs have had it done, it looks very shocking. Im not really sure of the intent of it.

She gaunt before Ozzy died and those ridiculous lips don’t come from weight loss, neither does the sculptured face.

SG1FirstTimeWatcher · 02/03/2026 19:43

likelysuspect · 01/03/2026 23:10

I think a whole host of issues are influencing over eating, some of which unfortunately is an acceptance and tolerance of being overweight.

Much like people are being shouted down for pointing out how concerning it is to see what these women have done, you cannot point out how harmful it is to be overweight either.

Because these are real people you are discussing here. Kelly looks like she is very ill sadly. She doesn't need 25 threads on mumsnet slating her.

No one is aspiring to look like this, not unless you have an eating disorder.

SemiRetiredLoveGoddeess · 03/03/2026 09:26

Didn't see the Brits. Not interested. But was very shocked at how much weight Karren, Baroness Brady on the Apprentice had lost. And how different she looked.

She looks as though she is anorexic and ill as well. Ozempic?

Cosmetic Surgery has been out of control for years. Joan Rivers made a career out of her operations and sending her self up.
She said everything time she smiled, she pulled her panties up

Even more horrendous is the fact that GP's are to be given bonuses to target and prescribe Ozempic to overweight patients.

Ozempic has not been on the market that long, and is now hailed as the new weight loss wonder drug.

It's manufacturer Novo Nordisk have made billions in profit out of it. And are currently the richest company in the world

Lets wait and see what sort of long term side effects is has.

Methinks massive Class Actions are waiting in the wings.

Branleuse · 03/03/2026 09:29

They both look like walking skeletons. It doesn't look slim. It looks bizarre and emaciated.
I think it's also keeping them in the news and being talked about, which will keep Sharon happy.

Yes this. It’s sad though. All the money in the world and this is how they end up looking and doing to their health.
