To not be able to find a good horror movie

Please recommend some good horror movies! I'm not interested in anything with subtitles at this moment in time.

I am scrolling through Netflix and similar and, I have seen all of the interesting ones like The Haunting of Bly Manor etc.

The visit, knock at the cabin, cabin in the woods, Saw films. What sort do you like? Abigail has just come to Netflix and I love that one. It’s humorous, serious and gory.

Have you seen Sinners?

It is partly horror. And has sixteen Oscar nominations.

Available on at least one of the streaming platforms.

Have you seen Midsommar? I thought that was great. A lot of folk liked Hereditary, too - by the same director. I wasn't mad keen but I'd give it another go.

Sinners is amazing, I enjoyed Shelby oaks too, and The autopsy of Jane doe

The Descent is brilliant

The mist by Stephen king gives me the heebie jeebies

The Ring- downright unsettling

Black Phone was pretty decent.

Not a film but have you tried Mike Flanagan's other series, The Fall of the House of Usher, Haunting of Hill House. Etc

I really liked It Follows too

Sinners! Absolutely amazing.
Also second The Descent.

All the best horror is about grief.

The Babadook is terrifying, as is The Descent.
It Follows also great.

I watched the Babadook recently, scared the B'jeezus out of me.

If you can handle subtitles, Terrified. It’s Argentinian and it’s my favourite.

although going by the ‘horror’ suggestions you’re getting, this might be a bit much for you

I love Train To Busan. Also a Korean movie. It's about zombies. Zombies on a train. I put off watching it for a while because I'm not mad into zombie movies. But then I watched it and loved it.

Get out the Jordan peel movie is just fantastic as is nope

Cure! 90s Japanese horror.

David Cronenburg movies.

Sinners is great. Horror doesn't win the awards but this one really should.

I enjoyed Killer Book Club on Netflix

Do you like zombies? If so, It Stains The Sands Red is on Amazon and is one of my favourites. Nicely corpse-like zombie, female lead, decent story.

Oh and From Dusk till Dawn is fab too.
