What was supposed to be wrong with her daughter?
What was in the hole in the ceiling?
How did Linda ever qualify as a psychotherapist (rather than just a psycho)?
Where was her husband throughout 95% of the film?

I take it nobody else has a clue either.

Did you have a cheese dream? 😂

Auroraloves · 23/02/2026 19:23

What?

auserna · 23/02/2026 19:32

It's a film. Is Google not working this evening?!

OP posts:
HarbourClankCat · 23/02/2026 19:36

Imagining Googling every random MNet post and calculating how much more of my life that would waste 😂

A bit more context in your very vague OP would have been excellent

No.

Even Google needs fecking clues.

You mean like quoting the title of the film and a reference to one of the characters not being in most of the film?

Your 1st post makes it sound like i have just walked in half way through a odd conversation.
How about you just tell us the name of the film ?
What are we meant to Google? Even knowing its a film there is no where near enough info , Linda , possibly disabled daughter , absent dad?

Anyone who has seen the film would recognise the title, and if you haven't seen the film you're not going to be able to answer my questions!

The name of the film is in the title! In quotes!

It's not my fault if people can't bloody read.

Ok, sorry. I had no idea, what channel is it on?

lola006 · 23/02/2026 19:50

I saw it, OP. I viewed it as the world just piling on her and no one understanding how overwhelmed she is by everything. I don’t think they say what the illness is at all, but I’m pretty sure the husband is a ship captain or something like that.

ComtesseDeSpair · 23/02/2026 19:50

I don’t remember much but my recollection was that the daughter was supposed to have some kind of rare, undiagnosed condition - though what it was exactly wasn’t particularly crucial to the narrative. Her husband was intimated to work away a lot, but it could also be that they were estranged and she used “working away” as a euphemism / metaphor for “we’re no longer together.”

I’d imagine there will be reviews and / or a Wiki article which can explain whether the hole in the house was meant to be metaphorical for hole in her life etc?

I can bloody read , however I can't read minds , it could be a book , TV series, cartoon , play or part of a conversation

It's on general release at the cinema.

An obscure question, a narky OP and thus far no actual clue what on earth this is about.
Jesus. I'm going to smell the evening air.

You don't have to read minds, you just have to google the title and then you'd see what it was.

The reason I didn't give more detail was, as I said, if you haven't seen the film you won't be able to answer my questions so it would be a bit pointless!

It was meant to be a comedy but there wasn’t much to laugh at

Yes, that's how I saw it as well. Was just expecting a few more things to be made clear towards the end!

Edited

Yes, and also the hole in her daughter's stomach.

There was some interesting use of colour which I assumed was deliberate. Beyond that...!

A black comedy, with the emphasis very much on "black"!

If I'd known what it was all about I wouldn't have asked the question(s) in the first place.
