I bet he's sweating now

He is known as The Sweaty Nonce in our household.

chickenpotnoodle · 19/02/2026 12:11

How the mighty have fallen - from what I have heard about him - an obnoxious character all round - Fergie to follow ??

Wendywooooo · 19/02/2026 12:11

This could all work out nicely for him, he'll still get to live rent free in a big house owned by his brother

QueenStevie · 19/02/2026 12:13

Statement from KC in that link 👆

HelpMeGetThrough · 19/02/2026 12:14

They are only saying they’ve arrested him as a cover up.

They’ve really taken him out for a Birthday Teddy Bears Picnic.

Velentia · 19/02/2026 12:14

Misconduct in a Public Office is the charge according to the police. That will mean financial crime not sex ones.
With financial crime there will be evidence, dates of transactions etc. It will not be opinion or interpretation.

funrunsunday · 19/02/2026 12:15

The King's statement 😆. Definitely making little brother pay for being the Queen's best boy and golden child.

minou123 · 19/02/2026 10:26

That's how I've read the news.
Its about misconduct in office.

Is it to do with sending Epsrein copies of sensitive/private UK trade deals?

It is part of the Epstein case, if Epstein or his team lead Andrew to share these papers. As I read elsewhere, part of the reason for the setup of the sex crime ring was to get material with which to get people to share information.

Although it is possible that people would voluntarily share info with Epstein.

Queue someone making a video of him being interviewed by AC12.
Trouble is, he'll just sit there with the most expensive lawyer Charlie can buy saying "No comment".

Should that not be a conflict of interest. AW has been detained at His Majesty’s pleasure, but His Majesty could be paying the defence fees?

berlinbaby2025 · 19/02/2026 12:17

thetemptationofchocolate · 19/02/2026 11:42

Well, exactly. Do we think AMW is bright enough to clean up his computers properly or will he be undone by a forensic tech poking through his files?

I can already knit so I am ready😊

Almost nobody is cover enough to know how to clean up their devices of certain illegal activities. There are teams that look forensically at devices and find all sorts. You think you’re permanently deleting your history, permanently destroying your hard drive etc but it’s all useless. That’s why he’s fucked, if it’s true that about him sharing ‘material’ with Epstein.

Or "pending further investigation"?

In other words just enough to give the impression of something being done, in the hope that it'll all die down sooner or later, and the need to avoid prejudicing any trial will calm some of the media comment

I don't know... something feels different this time.

Theda13 · 19/02/2026 12:19

According to the BBC, he’s the first modern member of the Royal Family to have been arrested.

I love how he has been arrested on his birthday.

I hope something actually comes of his arrest, though I doubt it…

WarriorN · 19/02/2026 10:15

Wow

live feed says he turns 66 today

He’s spent enough years being ‘666’ and hell is too good for him and the likes of him.

What a sub-human POS he and the others are. Total depravity. Those poor innocent victims, their suffering was and is unimaginable.

And he’s got a reservation at pizza express for tonight !

AW has been detained at His Majesty’s pleasure...

Priceless!!

BonBonDong · 19/02/2026 12:23

Just saw this in the Daily Mail coverage

"Policing commentator Danny Shaw told Radio 5 Live that arresting Andrew at his home, instead of inviting him in for an interview, is a departure from standard practice for historical allegations. 'Making an arrest carries the element of surprise, the person's not expecting it,' he said, adding: 'Carrying out the arrest enables them to do searches on the spot.'"

All we need now is the men in white coats turning up for the orange man baby in the white house, .....but seriously how has trump stayed out of this clusterf**k whilst everyone else is drowning??...is it some kind of genius??

IdentifyingAsAWoollyMammoth · 19/02/2026 12:29

Apparently he was expecting a delivery from Pizza Express and was shocked to find the old bill when the butler answered the door.

Oh the Grand Old Duke of York,
He had 12 million quid,
He gave it to someone he’d never met,
For something he never did.

(altogether now!)

Class!! 😂

outerspacepotato · 19/02/2026 12:30

You've got to start somewhere.

👏

Now if only we in the US could join in.

The birthday arrest is the gift that keeps on giving....

He just has access to the 'redact' black marker pen. The biggest, most beautiful, amazing black marker pen of course, a la Trump style.

The age of consent for sex work is 18 in the UK, not 16. If he had sex with a 17 year old girl who was trafficked to the UK for sex, that sounds criminal to me. I don't understand why this point isn't being picked up. Normally 16 is rhe age of consent, but it is older for sex work for all the obvious reasons.

The law around paying for sex with trafficked persons whether you know they are trafficked or not came in in 2010. But payment would have to made.

The law around having sex with a trafficked person, whether you knew they were trafficked or not and whether payment was received or not came in in 2015.

So he'd have to have eligible offences after those dates.

Prior to that the sexual offences act 2003 recognised all persons engaged in paid sex worker aged 16 and 17 were victims of abuse rather than being prostitutes as they would have been deemed as before but the laws were around penalties for people causing them to be engaged in acts of sex work, the pimps and traffickers, not individuals paying for sex with 16 or 17 year olds who could easily say they thought they were over 18 anyway.
