Are you now more likely to vote for REFORM (the party)

NC for this and apologies if Q already asked. My quick search yielded no result.

Reform plan to undo the reversal of 2 child cap benefit. Are you now likely (or more likely) to vote for them? There have been endless threads about the welfare bill.

If they win are you all going to leave the UK?

vodkaredbullgirl · 18/02/2026 15:19

When hell freezers over.

I’d sooner shit in my hands and clap.

This.

Beamur · 18/02/2026 15:21

I won't be voting for Reform or Restore

ContentedAlpaca · 18/02/2026 15:22

I won't be voting reform, restore, Labour or green.

InterestedDad37 · 18/02/2026 15:23

In that unlikely event, a brain drain of people who can leave (those who have skills and means) is probable as they will see the likely direction such a government would go in.

LunaDeBallona · 18/02/2026 15:24

You won’t get anything but hate for Reform on here OP.
It’s the same as the ‘leave the EU’ referendum- everyone who said they were going to vote leave were piled on.
The left wing are very very vocal and shout louder than any other group - you are not allowed to have a different view and if you do you risk being cancelled.
Then, the election comes along - and the very vocal group are amazed when the other side wins.
The last election was indicative of this -Labour didn’t win by a landslide ( Jeremy Corbyn got more votes than Starmer when he ran against Teresa May), The Tories lost because of the appauling mess they had made of things.
They are all as bad as each other IMHO.

No, I won't be amazed if Reform win. I just won't be helping them to win.

Is that one of their policies then? If you dont vote Reform you have to leave the UK?🫣

ilovesooty · 18/02/2026 15:25

Nothing would induce me to vote Reform.

justtheotheronemrswembley · 18/02/2026 15:26

Nothing on Earth would persuade me to vote for those dreadful 💩people.

TommorrowsToday · 18/02/2026 15:27

Never, ever, ever.

Saucery · 18/02/2026 15:27

Not a chance. I have the misfortune to live in a Reform-run council area and believe me, you do not want that merry band of venal, racist, bone idle twats replicated across the UK.

Zov · 18/02/2026 15:27

Nooooooooooooooooooo. 😱 NEVER!

No

Wouldn't surprise me if it was.

ChocolatesAndRainbows · 18/02/2026 15:28

They have vote!

nam3c4ang3 · 18/02/2026 15:28

MN is famously left wing - you won’t get a true representation of the country here. I wouldn’t vote for them (I will vote Tory) but I have Tory friends who are voting for them now and a few Labour friends who are as well.

ToWhitToWhoo · 18/02/2026 15:29

I never had the slightest intention of voting for them.

Their main policies seem to be (I) Blame everything on immigration and demonize immigrants; (2) Ignore climate change- thereby ensuring massive immigration in the future, as an increasing number of parts of the world become unlivable; (3) Suck up to Trump, even more than the other parties do; (4) Repeal the Equalities Act, thereby endangering the employment and other rights of women, ethhic minorities, disabled people, etc. Some actually seem to want to send women back to the kitchen and a subservient position to their husbands.

Plus they seem to be very incompetent in running local council. I'm fortunate not to have a Reform-run council, but I know people who do, and while county councils in general (including mine) ate not noted for their competnce, Refotrm seem to be the UTTER PITS!

In my local area, in the last local election, Reform were 9 votes away from beating LibDems! (Just 9 VOTES!) Interestingly, it emerged soon after (on speaking to many people) that most men voted Reform, and most women voted LibDems (including me.) Weird. 🤔

Just goes to show how incredibly important voting is. We came soooooooo close to getting Reform in power in our area. 😱

Yes, we pay way too much tax for the way that it is spent to be controlled by Reform.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 18/02/2026 15:39

Makes no difference as I would never vote for them. Ever ever ever

Sassiskt · 18/02/2026 15:43

GeneralPeter · 18/02/2026 15:06

I’m still very far from it, but Jenrick’s economic platform was a pleasant surprise. So, yes, “more” likely to I guess.

Fiscal conservatism combined with supply-side reform.

Simplify and reform the tax code to remove disincentives and cliff edges, but with overall tax levels to fall only once the deficit is eliminated. A sensible, technocratic move that can unlock some growth without additional spend.

Welfare reform, in particular targeted at rolling back the recent and large increase in anxiety-and-related benefit bill. Surprising echos of Gordon Brown.

Adjusting BoE remit: I could take it or leave it, but good to see recommitment to the OBR process. Discussion of superforecasters very interesting.

Energy policy: a major win. We have the highest industrial energy prices in the Western world, going into an economic revolution that will be very energy heavy. We can either be AI-makers or AI-takers. Makers is best. I like net zero, but think how we have done it (through domestic policies) has been absurdly inefficient and politically, not ecologically, motivated.

Edited

Agree. Nothing much here to disagree with.

neverbeenskiing · 18/02/2026 15:44

I would rather lick piss off a stinging nettle than vote for Reform.
