To find it enraging that my husband goes to the toilet for five minutes without fail every time dinner is ready

Why the fuck can't he go during the hour before dinner inevitably being ready instead of making everyone wait imaging him sitting on the shitter?

If I ever express annoyance he whines really annoyingly.

God it feels good to let this out.

He is making room for the meal? My cats do similar go for a poo then eat a lot of food to fill back up

I'll add in the 20 minute poo just as everyone is about to leave, coats and shoes on, keys in hand and 'I'm just popping to the loo'.

I'm so glad I'm single! Men really do find the strangest ways to exert a little bit of power over the family.

Mine used to do it after eating. Just as all the dishes were being carried (by me, obviously, because it might affect his male brain if he had to clear the table) into the kitchen for washing up - off he'd have to pop to the loo for a nice long shit.

He did it to avoid ever being expected to wash up. Then he'd emerge, twenty minutes later with a cry of 'oh, did you wash up? I was going to do that!'

Oddly enough, if I left the dishes for him, I was 'being lazy'.

And yes, he is an XH.
