To hate most men?

I'm not speaking about the whole male population, of course, but they're so pig ignorant. Sexist, bullish with disgusting habits. I'm currently sat in a cafe and a man, looks to be in his 60's is doing that deep throaty sniff in and sneezed so loud, I almost choked on my fish. Then there are the men who spit in public. Earlier I endured a man constantly sniffing on the train for half an hour. Women are like this too, but men are far worse. Enduring these men is a daily occurrence.

'Me neither. Nor my friends. I think that this site attracts extremists, and also some incredibly stupid people.'

@Gahr Well you said it. You and your friends are probably of that ilk who are too stupid to know that you have had terrible experiences with men.

It's ok love, us 'extremists' will carry it for you. Fucking idiot.

I don't want people like you to 'carry' anything for me. Just as I don't need a man to 'provide', I also don't need to be talked down to by a screeching feminist.

@LondonLass61
"I’m older now (entering my wise witch phase obvs) and I think that the next evolution of humans should involve women running everything - they do most of it now, but it should actually be recognised and encouraged."

There have been three female English prime ministers: Thatcher, May, and Truss. Which one would you welcome back? Just asking.

To be fair, much as I despise the message of this thread, this post is nonsense. Boris has been our worst to date. Thatcher was actually one of the best PMs in UK history.

Where are all these women who are constantly putting others first!? It's a myth.

I can name tons off the top of my head who continually sacrifice their needs for others!!!
I myself constantly put myself last before my children and husband so I am not a myth.

Gahr · 11/02/2026 20:01

More fool you.

Disliking half the population and preemptively despising them based on their sex is the very definition of bigotry and prejudice. All you're doing is spewing hate.

Where the fuck have you got 'half of the population' from? You're obviously really thick.

Men are half the adult population. Well, 49%.

But it’s not all men…..

The OP said it was practically all men. She should at least own her words.

GreyCarpet · 11/02/2026 21:23

This thread has reminded me of a man I passed whilst walking down the road about 6 months ago.

He had his jeans slung low at his under buttocks and his boxers, which had the greyish tinge of pants that used to be white, were low enough for the top quarter of his arse crack to be seen and clearly displayed the murky shit stain that ran the full length of his boxers.

I have never held my breath when walking past another human being before.

SpinelessBastardsAll · 11/02/2026 21:39

I'm so fucking sick of men openly gawping at my ELEVEN year old DD. Cunts.

You don't care about the rape and sexual harassment stats she posted then?

Do I care about stats posted by an internet random, stats of unknown origin or accuracy? Not particularly, no.

Are you one of the “good guys”, Timmy?

Good for you, but if you’re under about 45-ish, I’d give it a few years. My theory - at age 50 - is that only hormonal influence makes men tolerable, for obvious reproductive reasons. Once that precious estrogen starts pooping out, you realise that your adored DH is actually just some massively irritating gobshite who lives in your house, scratches his balls all the time and fucking breathes too loud.

This! 🤨

Ahh, I see where you're going with this. A woman has an unpopular opinion...so shout 'witch', then call her a man, the greatest of all insults on MN. So amusingly ironic on such a thread.

I'm afraid not though, sorry to disappoint. I'm a 39 year old, married mother of three.

Dot and Timmy were childhood pets 😂

This is such a vile and warped way to view the world. Utterly sickening.

I

Finally I have achieved the iconic “vile” status on MN.
My work is done.

For those who have likened my post to racism, get over yourselves! Racism involves a marginalised group of people, disliking men doesn't.

The similarity is in hating a group of people you don't know simply for genetic qualities they didn't choose. That is an appalling prejudice and generalisation.

And disliking doesn't mean the same as hating.

Absolutely yanbu

Just yesterday I was in a pharmacy and had to bend down to the lower racks to find what I was looking for.

The was a man standing not right next to me, but close enough for me to get that disgusting whiff from him. As I bent down, I realised he had farted.

How is that okay. That is disgusting. You are not 2 years old and can't keep it in. Go find the toilet you revolting human.

I am still annoyed about it.

I'm in my 50s too and my tolerance for men is very low.

Oh for goodness sake, you think women are incapable of letting out smelly farts in public? Sometimes it happens especially if you have bowel problems.

Has anyone else noticed a huge rise in male contributors to this site?

They love coming on to tell us how we’re wrong about navigating male violence and misogyny as women. They know so much better than us women… on a women’s site… and they don’t see their own misogyny

Edited

is there a statement from Mum's net saying it's for all parents

+4

"Mumsnet has stated that while the site is aimed primarily at mothers, its community and resources are intended for all parents, carers, and people seeking advice.
Inclusive Statement: In their Frequently Asked Questions, <a class="break-all" href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=web&rct=j&url=www.mumsnet.com/i/faqs&ved=2ahUKEwjBl5PR3tKSAxVlVqQEHcA5C_QQy_kOegQIAhAB&opi=89978449&cd&psig=AOvVaw0BF55cYRKaly-p1_Iv1VX5&ust=1770943999126000" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Mumsnet states: "We hope Mumsnet isn't exclusive to mums and indeed we know we have a number of dads who log on and contribute. If it doesn't sound too pompous we think the concept of 'mumming/mothering' goes beyond gender so don't feel Mumsnet is too exclusive"

Whenever there is a thread about men on here there are always multiple posts from two people (men defenders) both beginning with the letter G. I wondered when one of them would jump right in with their handmaiden ways. Didn’t take long.

PinkBookStand · 12/02/2026 04:07

surrealpotato · 10/02/2026 22:04

Imagine saying this about literally any other group. Even with the mandatory "I'm not talking about all...." (try women/black people/ gay people, etc), then you will realise how utterly vile and bigoted you sound. Yes, YABU and demented to hate 'all men' and to gripe so casually about it on MN as though you expect praise for this viewpoint. Which you will get, of course, because that's the culture we live in.

100%. Shocking comments in this thread.

I'm sure the women making comments are all perfect in every way! 😂

Honestly I think men have been rendered obsolete by evolution. We should just get rid of them except for a few who could be kept in captivity so that their sperm can be extracted for breeding purposes.
The world would be a much happier and productive place if it was populated entirely by women.

"The world would be a much happier and productive place if it was populated entirely by women."

So a world like Mumsnet? No thanks...
