To hate most men?

I'm not speaking about the whole male population, of course, but they're so pig ignorant. Sexist, bullish with disgusting habits. I'm currently sat in a cafe and a man, looks to be in his 60's is doing that deep throaty sniff in and sneezed so loud, I almost choked on my fish. Then there are the men who spit in public. Earlier I endured a man constantly sniffing on the train for half an hour. Women are like this too, but men are far worse. Enduring these men is a daily occurrence.

I must have led a charmed life. The decent men I know or have known far outnumber the others.

Me too. Perhaps we’ve just been lucky.

Here's some uplifting stats for the UK:
"In 2023/24, males accounted for 84% of arrests (approx. 604,000) compared to 16% (113,853) for females. Men are the perpetrators in the vast majority of cases. The vast majority of both male and female victims are killed by men. While women commit fewer, less violent crimes, they are often punished more severely relative to the nature of their offenses compared to men, according to some studies. Female offending is often driven by theft, shoplifting, and fraud, whereas male offending is more likely to involve violence or sexual offenses."

Hating is quite exhausting - best not to do it. If you aren't keen on men, the ones who don't live in your house are quite easily stayed away from. Trust me.

Great point. How anyone has the energy for hating every other person alive is beyond me.

Yesitisnotthatitbe · 12/02/2026 15:57

Fucking hell, you are deranged. Get help

How is this deranged? It's empassioned and frustrated but there's no sign of derangement in this list of actual experiences.

Should women not be livid and frustrated at how they are treated? I speak as someone who posted earlier strongly disagreeing with the OP that we should hate all men - and I still think it is no help whatsoever to assume AMALT.

But I nodded right through that list of behaviours. Similar events - and more - have happened to me. When the Me Too campaign happened I made a list out of interest and gave up after recording over 70 things. I only treated the flasher who flashed at us teen girls every single morning on the way to school for years as a single event otherwise it would run into hundreds.

I know which behaviour mentioned above I'd consider deranged and it isn't the justifiable anger of this poster. Nor is she the one who needs to get help.

OonaStubbs · 16/03/2026 19:57

But most men haven't done any of these things. Why not just hate bad men?

RememberBeKindWithKaren · 16/03/2026 22:06

I don't hate most men and I can't imagine what it would be like to have this much hatred. I think people who hate men need therapy.

Egggingit · 17/03/2026 03:05

It’s the entitled men that need the therapy. I’m old and I’ve met many awful men in my life. You’re lucky if you’ve managed to avoid them.m

Try this: when one's walking towards you on a pavement, fight your instinct & DON'T get out of his way. 9 out of 10 times they just carry on their trajectory, not even noticing you until you shout "oi! Look where you're walking" before they actually barge into you. The look of shock on their faces is v amusing.

We call this patriarchy chicken. It's eye opening.

Bertiebiscuit · 10/02/2026 23:26

Unlike misogyny, "misandry" doesn't get men killed. No comparison.

Absolutely. Women who aren't at all keen on men just avoid them where they can.

I agree with this 100%.

northernspanishlass · 17/03/2026 09:09

YABU. The majority of men are not disgusting pigs. And those are have been raised by a terribly. Look for the positives in people and not fave value

Good for you, but if you’re under about 45-ish, I’d give it a few years. My theory - at age 50 - is that only hormonal influence makes men tolerable, for obvious reproductive reasons. Once that precious estrogen starts pooping out, you realise that your adored DH is actually just some massively irritating gobshite who lives in your house, scratches his balls all the time and fucking breathes too loud.

I just had to reply to this - I am well past menopause, well past 50 - and I never fell out of love with my late husband. You obviously picked the wrong man.

The13thFairy · 17/03/2026 09:12

Catladywithacat · 10/02/2026 23:55

I don’t hate most men but I am weary of most people usually men

Also wary.

The13thFairy · 17/03/2026 09:49

RetiredMan · 11/02/2026 08:49

I may be wrong, but I don't think this is true. As a retired man, I have never in my life heard or read men talking with hatred about women the way I often see women in this forum talk about men. Not even as a teenager in a boarding school where everyone I met gave zero fucks about political correctness.

I'm not saying that the OP or women in general don't have legitimate beefs, just that I find it ironic that women are always banging on about mysogny, when my life experience is that hatred of the opposite sex is 1000 times more prevalent in women.

(I don't think incel forums count as a counter-example, a valid example would have to be a forum that doesn't specifically attract people for the purpose of hate.)

When men hate women, they behave in a way that lets us know about it. They do dreadful, ghastly things to us, leading us to fear them, or at least be wary of them. When women hate men they . . . er . . . mmm . . . oh yes, they moan about it on the internet! How very dare they!

The13thFairy · 17/03/2026 10:02

Tonissister · 11/02/2026 10:25

The title says 'Most men'

Yes. 'Most men' are, by definition, not all of them. Most though.

The13thFairy · 17/03/2026 10:46

Yesitisnotthatitbe · 12/02/2026 15:57

Fucking hell, you are deranged. Get help

Tell me ~ when you were eleven, on the bus in your school uniform, and a man walked past plenty of seats in order to sit next to you? When he put his hand on your thigh and squeezed it? And moved it upwards and squeezed again? What did you do? Of course this didn't happen to you because you were a boy! You know nothing about this subject.

ElenOfTheWays · 17/03/2026 13:16

Usual selection of butthurt men telling on themselves, pick mes, and deluded "not my Nigel" types in the comments here I see.

God forbid women call out the disgusting misogyny men display all over the Internet, the actual threatening and violent behaviour of men in real life, or even just the low level sexism or weaponised incompetence of so many of them. So disrespectful.
Stop telling us we're wrong. We aren't wrong. Stop telling us we're vile and hateful for just daring to TALK about shitty men
Trying to silence women in one of the very few corners of the Internet we have that isn't overrun by men?
You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Seriously. Fuck off!
