I like her and think Brooklyn’s recent posts are awful.

I was looking on YouTube today and a video came up of her over the years, mainly with the spice girls and when younger. She was so funny, so cheeky and seemed so strong & confident. She did full, proper smiles and laughs, so nice to see.
Totally different to now, is it just age and we were all probably more like that in our youth?

I thought Tom Bower got a bit extreme.

He used to be a Panorama reporter exposing actual skulduggery (Maxwell for one) but this book and the Harry book did have some genuine misdeeds but also a lot of pages damning the couples for really trivial things.

Yeah, maybe Victoria is a bit of a 'boy mum' and inadvertently upset BB, but he made her sound like Jocasta...

She came across as boring as FUCK in her documentary. I have seen literally no evidence of her being ‘witty’ - she’s not bright enough to be witty.

She’s just a bland careerist who got lucky, and then sold her children’s privacy to the highest bidders. And lied repeatedly about her boob job back in the day (‘this is from breastfeeding’ she said - failing to see how that makes other women reading it wondering why their boobs aren’t pert round balls after feeding their babies) I also think she looks bad when she smiles - which is rare, tbf, but I get why she doesn’t do it in photos.

I also don’t think she has very much to do with her fashion range in terms of designing - she’s just the figurehead (& money)

Why are you so invested in the life of a complete stranger? Why does it matter to you?

Just live your own life and stop gossiping about the lives of people you don’t even know.

I agree. Esp re the fashion brand. It's like celebs who reinvent by writing novels- probably a ghostwriter is being used in most (not all) cases.

My dh worked in LA almost 20 years ago whilst the spice girls were doing a reunion tour (I think) and my dh was security for 2 singers who shared the same fitness trainer as the spice girls.
he told my dh that the marriage then was a sham and when they got papped going into restaurants they would go in together then db would shoot out the back door.
Then through my work I got chatting to a stunning Russian mum (I used to do kids hair) who’s kids went to the same school as Harper at the time and she said that he was sleeping or trying to sleep with most of the mums at the school and was even eyeing her up at one point (she wasn’t all impressed by him and was loaded in her own right)

2 weeks after she told me that the story broke about him having an affair with Harper’s teacher 😮

I think the end goal for them were titles. That is what all the Brand was about. They think they’re minor aristocracy. David seems to like well bred girls, I expect he would trade her in if he could, if it wasn’t for the brand. Victoria is a normal woman, who has made the most of minimal talents (singing and looks). I prefer her to him.

I met someone recently in fashion industry who knew the very talented woman with glasses in fashion segment of doc - apologies I can’t recall her name.

I said it wasn’t fair, I thought, VB got credit for what was effectively her & team’s creation & work. She replied that this woman would be nothing like as successful without VB unfortunately.

Who are the 'cultured' people she mixes with?

Can you imagine how soul destroying it would be to tell someone their smile isn’t nice? Devastating I should think. I don’t think smiles should be up for negative critique (unless it’s some creepy serial killer type 😧).

I think she never ever relaxes when in public, she is always guarded and trying really hard to be/look a certain way which is unnatural.
Probably because she has been the target of so much criticism about her appearance. She lacks confidence, or lost any confidence she had.
It's a shame really.
Otherwise I think she actually is an attractive woman and her style has evolved and matured. But all these cosmetic interventions are not doing her any favours at all. They detract from her natural pleasant looks.
She is not a sexy woman and when she tries to look sexy, it simply doesn't work.
She just needs to be herself then everything would naturally fall into place.

I’ve always felt for her since I saw them on tv many year’s ago. She made a little joke and he just looked so contemptuous I thought oh, this man does not like his wife. I have always felt she genuinely loves him. Not sure about today but her life has been totally enmeshed in him and I would doubt very much she has ever looked at another man since him.

So did they just do ivf then and have no real love in the marriage if all a fake?

Her ‘cultivated upper middle class persona’ is not convincing - and I think pretty jarring to all ‘classes’ of people.

She needs to be authentic - confident in her unique unvarnished self - that’s much more attractive and warm - this persona I believe is inadvertently making her not just unrelatable but maybe a bit ridiculous.

Are you for real with that Q - 100% female and proud of it. Just not on for slating VB to the extent she has got here. Her DIL has nothing to show for herself other than an extremely rich Daddy, a history of dating men a lot younger than her and a tendency to try an emulate whichever family she has aligned herself to at the time. I am not from the UK by birth and wonder why British females cannot even get behind one of their own, let alone understand how English Mothers can be as nasty as some of these posts towards her.

She's always been open about the fact that she's not posh, alrhough her family's business gave them a comfortable life. Even when she was Posh Spice, she said in interviews that she wasn't actually posh. None of those characters was serious.

She has a business in her name. That doesn't make her a business woman, and the £66 million debt that the company has accrued in the last 4 years would back that up. It was very apparent on the Beckham Netflix doc that she wasn't that involved.

I feel sorry for her, in truth. She strikes me as someone who has no idea who she really is. She's so hell bent on promoting her Brand that her kids wellbeing and her own has fallen by the wayside. And if legend is to be believed, David is off shagging anything with a pulse. I hope their shallow lives implode around them to be honest and it leads to some sort of protection for all of the children under 16 who are used on social media for monetary gain for their parents.
