I like her and think Brooklyn’s recent posts are awful.

I was looking on YouTube today and a video came up of her over the years, mainly with the spice girls and when younger. She was so funny, so cheeky and seemed so strong & confident. She did full, proper smiles and laughs, so nice to see.
Totally different to now, is it just age and we were all probably more like that in our youth?

I'm not sure, she always seemed stiff to me. All I remember is that she was everyone's least favourite at my school: none of the girls wanted to be her when dressing up, and she was the one the boys didn't fancy, as well, even though Sporty was the one the media tried to push as the 'ugly' one. I'm not saying Victoria or any of them were ugly, but for some reason everyone seemed to find Posh the least appealing.

Surely if all this is even half true it would make someone seriously unwell in time I’d imagine? Life is way, way too short & there are no pockets in a shroud. Lots to admire about VB but if you are right it’s no way to joyously live?

I read earlier that David had effectively sold his name to a company which means they have the right to effectively stage manage his public, family appearances. Can they/he get out of it all if they choose? Is it not ultimately selling your soul?

Maybe I am too old but what was goal of musical mime in back of car with other brothers & girlfriends? Are they really girlfriends in old fashioned sense of word or VB lookalike ‘useful people to brand?

Not my specialist subject but I watched a random video of them all leaving a restaurant a good while ago. It was bleak. Rude behaviour and swishing clothes with mardy faces ignoring staff saying bye, holding or opening doors. Chimed exactly with that bleating David did about not getting some honour - very difficult to give a shit about any of them.

This. I am a totally different animal now compared to the levity of my youth. By Christ has life knocked me about!

IF VB loves him with all heart & soul, and you’re right, this will eventually destroy her, surely (?) It’s no life at all.

IF it’s all a sham & a business arrangement & open relationship with the goal of benefitting the brand, that’s a very different prospect.

Re: ‘inauthentic relationships’ IMO this might be aimed more at BB’s brothers than parents. Brother’s girlfriends feel like they are useful to the brand - aesthetically & re: contacts.

Agree. I'm sure when with her, in real life, it's a lovely smile, all smiles are. But some smiles photograph badly, hers and mine included.

I remember watching her coming to America documentary years ago (for some reason, can't have been much else on) when David moved to LA Galaxy she came across quite well and natural.

But then I also remember seeing something and basically she walked out of the hotel to a car, which drove round the back and she got out.

It's all so contrived now.

Well... like all of us, she's much older, and whatever the absolute truth of everything, she's had a hard time in many ways since she was a Spice Girl. Materially, of course, she wants for nothing, but she's seen adversity nonetheless. I'm not saying there aren't many people who have seen far worse, but one way or another we all have our demons... and they don't usually play out on a worldwide stage.

No wonder she looks miserable . There have been many many more than Rebecca Loos - read Tom Bowers book if you’re interested . She has sacrificed her dignity and happiness for fame and money . Her choice

Tom skirts around DB affairs post Loos & only talks about almost a flirtation at Glasto that VB wants to nip in bud. Allusions to roving eye but no affairs cited with clarity anywhere post Loos. Think that’s right?

Same can be said Annie Kilner. She never looks truly happy. Nothing can mend the hurt that a public humiliation does.

I think Brooklyn has behaved badly himself, but Victoria & David's decision to expose their kids to the media to the extent they did does seem potentially questionable.
