I like her and think Brooklyn’s recent posts are awful.

I was looking on YouTube today and a video came up of her over the years, mainly with the spice girls and when younger. She was so funny, so cheeky and seemed so strong & confident. She did full, proper smiles and laughs, so nice to see.
Totally different to now, is it just age and we were all probably more like that in our youth?

For whatever it's worth, I remember watching the Spice Girls on TV at house parties in the 90s and the boys always cheered when Victoria came on. Geri said in an interview that they all reckoned Victoria was the one men fancied the most overall.

I remember in the early days before they met DB said he saw the Spice Girls on TV and told his mate “ I’m going to marry ONE of them’ I ealways remembered that he said one of them not Victoria specifically.

HG Tudor on YouTube is convinced that DB is a raging narcissist and to be fair, his behaviour fits this completely. His superficial charm, idolising VB at the start soon followed by cheating and degrading/devaluing her. His tantrums about not getting a knighthood etc

What is happening?

Documentary about the feud. Mainly what’s already out there. I didn’t realise that VB was cut out of wedding plans after the Peltz’s hired and fired planners after 9 days.

I saw NP’s leaked wedding texts & she wanted VB completely out of loop.

I'm so not interested in celeb sex lives that I haven't a clue about this Bowers bloke or the affairs he seems to cleverly imply without committing actual libel. Sounds like a nice guy 🤔

I looked up Irma Nici, as she's been heavily plugged in this thread. Beckham successfully sued Bauer in Germany for publishing the story. They never published it in the UK, tellingly. His action against the company in the USA was for malicious reputational damage. The case was dismissed, the judge's reason being that the damage was not intentional, he did not say the magazine had reason to believe the story was true. Oddly, the court didn't publish its findings in this case.

David Beckham’s lawyer argued that a basic investigation by the magazine would have shown that Beckham was elsewhere when the alleged trysts occurred.

“They have not provided one shred of evidence to support the claim this story is true. David Beckham’s clear evidence proved that this is without foundation. Unfortunately, the U.S. legal system requires us to show that the magazine acted maliciously“.

It's really weird that everyone's talking about how Victoria seems much more anxious and controlled these days, and blaming it on her marriage. Hasn't it crossed anybody's mind that 22 years of reading & hearing relentlessly that her relationship's fucked up, she's too thin, talentless, boring, stupid, etc, just might have undermined her and made her extremely guarded?

PP have responded to the OPs Q with their own opinions (that’s all anyone has) formed from their own eyes and ears watching direct evidence from the horses mouth - so young VB direct TV interviews and current VB direct NF doc. Her decline in confidence is plain and very sad to see (you agree with that) - but it’s her own DS who has effectively reconfirmed all the shit she has carried for decades by using the language ‘inauthentic relationships’

VB is steely and her emotional demise is not because a few anonymous randoms questioned her talent 30 years ago in SGs.

You inadvertently walked right into this one - because the NDAs that David Beckham imposes on the UK don’t apply elsewhere - means there is no coverage here. Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen - as his son has suggested.

I haven’t seen any ‘hate’ for VB here - quite the opposite - many can see her fragility and vulnerability and many admire her determination and respect that she took commercial, reputational, emotional decisions for her broader family benefit but over three decades holding that compromise and being betrayed and belittled by a sexually incontinent husband - it likely takes its toll on your emotional resilience and sense of self. I would imagine as a mother the issue with BB will be devastating and personally I feel sad that as the one who made all the sacrifices for her DC so DB could continue to indulge his arrogant and entitled behaviours - that she’s getting the blame from her son and the focus is on her. DB yet again slithers away with no focus on the root cause of the distress in the fake family but grandiose enough to keep quiet and throw VB and his son under the bus.

Incidentally, I was reading an old Time magazine piece about Britain from 2007 and it casually referenced her as the epitome of the Essex Girl : '

I think this is unfair but her way of dealing with it hasn't been ideal either.

Does anyone else wonder if the fallout with Brooklyn could be connected to how he feels about his parents relationship with each other and the kids? If all the rumours about db are true Brooklyn must have heard and maybe seen some.disturbing things over the years while they put forward the perfect couple/ family trope. Also wonder whether db was inappropriate with np and it made Brooklyn uncomfortable.

You seem overly invested in someone you don't know and don't know about their lives.

They are quite desperate to let people know about their lives though.They want people to comment and talk about them, - otherwise they wouldn’t place 100’s of profile raising articles in the press, annually. Or make various documentaries about themselves would they?

Well quite. Only very naive, non media savvy people believe one word of what the Beckhams say. They are proven liars many times over.

It’s a shame she doesn’t smile. She has a beautiful smile and, as with everyone, she looks more attractive when she smiles.

It’s not age. Loads of much older people smile, including famous people, like actresses, on red carpets or IG. And it’s not the fashion industry. Most models (Moss, Campbell, Crawford, Bündchen, Hadids, Jenner) all smile when not on the catwalk. Even Anna Wintour breaks into one occasionally.

Suspect it may be a mask to deal with intense intrusion from paps and fame. Lots of v famous people hold back a bit of themselves for their private lives. And quite possibly self-confessed insecurity: maybe hates her smile and thinks it shows up (or exacerbates) lines etc.

Shame, as the dead-eyed pout has created a public image of being miserable, vain (posed) and a bit flat. A smile makes people look more vibrant, confident and relaxed.

No one knows what’s really going on in anyone’s life. Unclear why she stays with him. Most women with any (‘girl power’) self-worth would’ve been long gone. If it was to hold the family together or protect the brand, BB’s outburst suggests it’s been at some cost (at least to him). A salutary tale.

There's a price to be paid for celebrity and living your life as a slave to a brand image. Reading the Brooklyn thing reminded me of reading the books I've read by the daughters of Joan Crawford & Marlene Dietrich, both of which were controlling narcissists and very unhappy and difficult women.

I have no idea what Victoria Beckham is like as I don't follow her, but I do remember the melon tit years and how foolish she seemed denying that she'd had a boob job which was more than obvious. Also all the stupid poses she used to do for the paps. At least being involved in the fashion industry has taught her about style, decorum, restraint - and that often less is more.

She wants/has always wanted to be genuinely upper middle class & I see her strive to be so. The ‘work in progress’ accent etc. The ‘Posh’ nickname a bit jarring for her, as she knew, those that were, knew she wasn’t. Seems like DB likes/liked a classy woman too.

I admire her tenacity & drive, in her position in the fashion world I’d have huge imposter syndrome. I think she’s very attractive & think she’s charismatic. Those women that are have enormous advantage from the get go if they play their cards right. She looked fantastic & was a perfect fit for Spice Girls.

BB is an example of ‘be careful what you wish for’ IMO. NP is the embodiment of much of what VB reveres & has been gunning for.

I totally admire VB for her drive and humour. She's a celeb being photographed constantly and yes she poses which looks unnatural. Her own son is attacking her....DIL styling herself around VB but without the warmth of VB. She keeps a steady course despite the external malice.

I met her once and she was delightful, funny, warm and completely normal.

Perhaps she's sad because her first born son no longer speaks to her.
Brand Beckham is very important to both her and DB and they've monetised their lives since they met, got engaged, married and had children. We've seen EVERY STAGE of their lives - Brooklyn seems to resent that now, hence the falling out. Perhaps she's jealous of NP?
For the record I think that Brooklyn is the ultimate nepo baby - photographer, chef, model etc and seemingly is not talented in any of his chosen 'careers', so hes hitched himself to a billionaires daughter! Nice work if you can get it.

Perhaps staying very thin (possibly too thin at times), youthful looking over age 50 is finally taken its toll. It must be hard work. I'm naturally slim at size 8/10, and over 50, and your metabolism does slow down l. VB doesn't look like shes eaten a good meal in years tbh.

I think she doesn't smile because that might show her wrinkles - or she can't because she has had too much work done on her face. Any denial of cosmetic work - like her boob job is just ridiculous.

Shes a millionaire so I dont feel too sorry for her though. She could easily leave DB if she wanted but quite frankly its no one else's business.
