Victoria Beckham used to be so different

I like her and think Brooklyn’s recent posts are awful.

I was looking on YouTube today and a video came up of her over the years, mainly with the spice girls and when younger. She was so funny, so cheeky and seemed so strong & confident. She did full, proper smiles and laughs, so nice to see.
Totally different to now, is it just age and we were all probably more like that in our youth?

Wonder if DB has ever wanted to leave her? I mean, why stay if he’s just shagging around anyway. Strange also how he’s never fallen for anyone else if he has been seeing them

Could, if so, it be a David H & Lilly Allen arrangement, “do it if you must but don’t catch feelings”. That obvs didn’t go well.

Was Ted Beckham unfaithful to Sandra?

DB says on doc “when I met V there was nothing about her I didn’t like”. Madonna v whore syndrome (?) Idealised mother of his kids, real love, not sex. Some men separate sex & love.

Rebecca Loos thought she had something he was taking seriously…

It would have cost them both money and reputation.

Not just splitting assets but all of the millions they then made from the fake fantasy family brand which presented them as glamorous and wholesome - so got all the endorsements which funded VB fake company and got DB a knighthood.

Also believe VB as being the least talented of the SG with the worst post split showbiz career - wanted to ‘win’ the bested marriage / husband / kids / mother / wealthiest of all the SGs?

No. Seeking first to understand & get facts.

I am at a loss to see why VB would stay with continued infidelity as a strong woman who seems to genuinely love him. That’s likely to destroy you in the end.

It's all so easy to say why doesn't she leave or why does she stay with him.

We see it on here all the time, it is never just as simple as packing up and walking out the door. Something has to snap first (in my case it was him throwing something at me that almost hit the cat) especially if your confidence and judgement has been chipped away at over many years.

His antics over the years have wiped the sparkle from her eyes, she never looks truly happy these days.

Very easy to say, you’re right, & also as you say, often/sometimes eventually it’s a straw that breaks camel’s back.

A friend left in her late 50s & she’s now loving life!

“Rebecca Loos thought she had something he was taking seriously”

Might have been his two toddler sons? That Parkinson interview is the same time as the RL affair. He was an lucky man but clearly he’s arrogant and entitled enough to believe he can have his cake and eat it - which many powerful, wealthy (and even powerless and poor) men believe is their right.

He continued to indulge himself for decades throughout his ‘marriage’ and VB tolerated/facilitated/enabled to make cash, chase fame, hold the family together.

Wirrrrrral · 01/02/2026 14:17

ninjaassassin · 01/02/2026 12:27

@SinicalMe Yep- I agree.

I think for Victoria, the idea of staying with him even if he cheats, is far preferable to divorcing him and seeing him publicly shack up with a much younger model and having more children.

I think that would absolutely destroy her.

Interesting that you say him leaving and then having more children would destroy her - because on the NF doc he teased her about them having another child - which is a really passive aggressive thing to do to your 50 year old wife who you have degraded with serial shagging around for decades - knowing she can’t deliver that - but you can if you so want.

He really is a nasty piece of work.

Someone else said about him idealising her in the early days (not enough to keep his cock in his pants tho with the first ‘it’s not a sending off offence’ cool GF quip by V) that’s a classic narc trajectory - idealise, devalue and discard. She hasn’t been discarded legally as he can exploit her and the kids for the wholesome family image which has attracted endorsements and made him extremely rich.

VB is the complicit fig-leaf.

Wayne Rooney hasn’t been able to attract the same deals because his sexual antics have blighted the brand opportunities.

Bunny65 · 01/02/2026 14:52

The Rooneys never denied the infidelities. They are a lot more down to earth and don't pretend to be perfect. Coleen is popular and has made a lot of money herself from endorsements and brands. They are not short of a bob or two.

deeahgwitch · 01/02/2026 15:18

I was so disappointed that DB got a knighthood.
That his ars*licking worked.

I 100% agree. Being humble, open and honest has probably relieved some of the pressure for her and made her more relatable or people are sympathetic to her. Emotionally she has not but another burden on herself with the active fakery and constant denials so probably can then take stock and time to process and heal to some degree. CR would be a good example of someone who has grown in confidence over the years despite what she has had to endure. I wonder if he reined it in?

But it has likely cost him £££ in endorsements.

But they also probs have something that the Beckhams won’t have and that’s ‘enough’.

Totally. It’s David and Victoria’s need to be seen a certain way that has made this scandal worse. She has tried to reinvent herself but it’s now falling apart.

PinkPanther57 · 01/02/2026 19:14

Wirrrrrral · 01/02/2026 11:23

Agree. It’s sooo painful to see this poster twist themselves into a pretzel defending the sexually incontinent slag that is David Beckham - when he doesn’t even defend himself or do the other affair partners or sex workers named over the years.

This is a great short interview with Tom Bowers - a year ago now - explaining the DBs affairs, the fake marriage / brand / wholesome family curated to make them money. It’s interesting as he says they haven’t hurt anyone else with this set up - but clearly this was a year ago before BB spoke out.

Have now watched this… interesting.

Bowers says DB wants to keep VB happy - why (?) - & so had been bank rolling fashion company. Is it to keep brand going & £ or because he cares?

The affairs directly discussed, Loos, are pre 2016, when Bowers alleges they agreed pretty much to lead separate lives. Bowers states no or few men find VB ‘sexy’ & she has to ‘try’ but DB is seen as very attractive by most, so he has the power.

Despite VB doing own thing she’s very jealous when DB finds other women attractive. As you say they’ve harmed no one says TB but we know different now. He gives the example of B Spears & a pepsi or coke commercial that VB made him refuse. If he unequivocally does as she says, why. Again this was from poss 20 years ago…

Interestingly Bowers mentions VB getting drunk & dancing as Beckham leaves a venue. The strain showing.

To my mind it all doesn’t feel ultimately sustainable.

What does this mean that RL thought he had something he was taking seriously? I don’t understand this comment

So, was the above interview with Michael before RL? Is that why she was happier

DB told RL she was his first extra marital fling - not so apparently - & she believed him. They were both at a party and DB went off with a model apparently. VB called & RL had to find DB & found him in bed with this woman & was very upset.

Parky was about 2003 I think.

I still don’t think this is quite right or relevant to the beckhams

so celebrities in the USA don’t pay income tax on income received as payment for a hired role at a charity event? Are you sure?

if you set up a charity or foundation you don’t pay corporation tax on “profits” no. What good is that to a celebrity who sets up a foundation? They can’t take the profits as income -as surely US charity law prevents this (it does in the uk) -plus, it would be taxable income (not for an event etc)??

none of this happens in the uk anyway, but I am not convinced I believe it in the US. The pastor/ cult comparison isn’t relevant, that’s totally different.

DB was non dom for many years - when in Spain/Italy and USA so he could avoid paying UK taxes. I’m not sure what his status is atm.

He is notoriously tight and Tom Bower in The House of Beckham goes into great detail in his book how he has created so many companies to avoid tax and how he gets charities to pay for a lot of his travel.

She may be a lovely person, I have no idea. But I’ve long been uncomfortable about the whole “Brand Beckham” thing, particularly when it came to the children. Clearly at least one of her children feels the same and now she and her husband can blame no-one but themselves for that. Unfortunate they have chosen to blame their son.

landlordhell · 01/02/2026 19:29

I just wish she would eat something. In her Netflix show she is ultra thin. It’s not attractive and awful for her daughter to see.

This is really sad him saying no other men find VB sexy as I saw an interview from the early days of The Spice girls and she was saying how no guys ever fancy her, that David does but no other men ever do. Thinking about it, I’ve not really ever known of men saying they fancy her, in the public eye or men ive known, but they must do surely?!

Wonder if DB ever felt guilty, what an awful thing to keep doing to her

In her autobio it sounds like boys def liked her & she was engaged before I think.

Personally I don’t see DB as a sex God or even as devastatingly attractive.

I am at a loss to see why VB would stay with continued infidelity as a strong woman who seems to genuinely love him. That’s likely to destroy you in the end.

I watched her nextflix show and it seemed quite obvious to me. She talked about being a loner as a kid, never fitting in, having chronically low self esteem, feeling desperate to have others approval, having an eating disorder, never feeling part of a friendship group and feeling very concerned about other people's opinions.

I have thought it too- why would a woman who is so mega rich and has all those resources choose to stay with someone constantly cheating on her but there are other aspects apart from money. I suspect Vic's self esteem is much more fragile than it may appear. If David is the love of her life it may be that the idea of not being with him devastates her so much she'll take his crumbs as the thought of being alone is far, far worse. I actually do feel she has been ground down over the years.

There's that saying - "People don't change until the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change"

That line in her book about wanting to be as famous as Persil Automatic ties in with that...

Loos affair was circa 2003 I think, coming out in 2004. Parky was earlier than I said, circa 2001, so pre Loos if so.
