Victoria Beckham used to be so different

I like her and think Brooklyn’s recent posts are awful.

I was looking on YouTube today and a video came up of her over the years, mainly with the spice girls and when younger. She was so funny, so cheeky and seemed so strong & confident. She did full, proper smiles and laughs, so nice to see.
Totally different to now, is it just age and we were all probably more like that in our youth?

Brooklyn’s statement has really shone a light on the image control. Of course it’s bizarre to expect them to constantly be turning up from abroad for family photo ops with all the women dressed in VB nighties. Harper is being groomed now to be a VB cosmetics “influencer” at 14, Cruz has a music career going nowhere and I think Romeo is a “model”.

Wasn't Romeo meant to be the next Andy Murray at one point, then he was a footballer.

Everyone criticises Brooklyn for not having a career but Romeo seems to be just as bad and gets off lightly with the criticism.

ninjaassassin · 01/02/2026 10:49

@PinkPanther57 no, he mentions specific affairs many times in the book. If there is no proof as you claim then why didnt they sue?

Agree. It’s sooo painful to see this poster twist themselves into a pretzel defending the sexually incontinent slag that is David Beckham - when he doesn’t even defend himself or do the other affair partners or sex workers named over the years.

This is a great short interview with Tom Bowers - a year ago now - explaining the DBs affairs, the fake marriage / brand / wholesome family curated to make them money. It’s interesting as he says they haven’t hurt anyone else with this set up - but clearly this was a year ago before BB spoke out.

The recent football coaches who have come out of woodwork all said BB was a very decent player although very quiet.

I am no fan & not actually not defending him here.

The facts are TB doesn’t say in the book that DB had an affair with Mary or these others. If he has evidence he can’t yet use it (?) He might imply it but he doesn’t state it directly in the book. Standing close at a football game or saying there’s a tent where secret stuff goes on at Glasto not same. The B’s can’t sue over something TB hasn’t said.

TB is crystal clear where he can be & in person at lectures, sometimes sticking his neck out & taking risks.

Will look at this, thanks for posting. My comments all refer to book.

Where there’s proof he states an affair ie: in the past by name; Loos. Bowers isn’t afraid to be very bold in what he states & believes but clearly does so only when he has evidence.

I said MC is in the book previously, but TB doesn’t explicitly flag any affair. What he says is that DB thinks MC is very attractive & BB is worried about that & VB is on the warpath about that and goes to Glasto effectively to keep an eye on him. Lots of men find MC very attractive, says TB, as she released & published photos in the bath around this time. He mentions other times DB has been with her socially with others & that they seem close.

TB also mentions a tent at Glasto filled with beautiful women & what ‘goes on in the tent, stays in the tent’. He mentions it’s popular with some footballers etc. It’s a place where men let hair down away from wives etc.

Irma is not mentioned in the book by name & I haven’t found anyone that sounds like her.

TB does describe DB as a real flirt you could say.

Look, who’s to say he’s not had an affair with all these 8 women & you’re spot on, Harper’s teacher too & perhaps VB & he are even in an open marriage but TB doesn’t say so in this book. IMO he would if he had proof. Why not?

Who is MC?

Yeah he does lol. He describes Sarah Marbeck and Beckham being in bed together, he quotes explicit text messages between the two and David refers to Posh as "Wendy" and Sarah as "Tinkerbell". The texts talk about David wanting to do all sorts of things to Sarah and believe me, they werent just playing scrabble. He literally says "during their two year affair" and then goes on to describe all kinds of sexual meetings

Yes on Sarah, he he’s explicit where he can be. That was all a while ago?

Looking at this do you think it’s poss V & he have an arrangement/open marriage?

So? you asked "Where there’s proof he states an affair ie: in the past by name"- I am giving you just one example. There are several others too.

You seem really determined to minimise what DB has done. Why?

No. Seeking first to understand & get facts.

I am at a loss to see why VB would stay with continued infidelity as a strong woman who seems to genuinely love him. That’s likely to destroy you in the end.

Labelledelune · 01/02/2026 11:57

Piglet89 · 28/01/2026 00:34

Those who think she’s “witty and funny” have incredibly low standards. She is massively banal.

Oh, how do you know her?

ninjaassassin · 01/02/2026 12:07

I am at a loss to see why VB would stay with continued infidelity as a strong woman who seems to genuinely love him. That’s likely to destroy you in the end.

I watched her nextflix show and it seemed quite obvious to me. She talked about being a loner as a kid, never fitting in, having chronically low self esteem, feeling desperate to have others approval, having an eating disorder, never feeling part of a friendship group and feeling very concerned about other people's opinions.

I have thought it too- why would a woman who is so mega rich and has all those resources choose to stay with someone constantly cheating on her but there are other aspects apart from money. I suspect Vic's self esteem is much more fragile than it may appear. If David is the love of her life it may be that the idea of not being with him devastates her so much she'll take his crumbs as the thought of being alone is far, far worse. I actually do feel she has been ground down over the years.

There's that saying - "People don't change until the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change"

Moulez · 01/02/2026 12:12

I used to have a colleague that everybody said out of work was really funny and I'm thinking how would you possibly have a personality that isn't obvious most of the time.

See this also about Victoria Beckham how funny and hilarious she is that you never ever see a single glimpse of it
that's said, what the fuck do I care about it? She's not my friend and never will be.

That’s all true but also she’s no sap, pushover & can be a bit of a mean girl (judging by autobio). Do you think he genuinely loves her? Some men clearly separate love & sex & women prepared to put up with that.

Is VB trying to evolve into the ideal woman in DB’s eyes?

I’ve not heard of that statement before but it’s spot on.

SinicalMe · 01/02/2026 12:22

Why has VB stayed with DB if he’s a reknowned serial cheater? I think her whole identity is wrapped up as being David’s wife. I don’t think she could bear for him to be seen publicly with a 20/30 year something on his arm. Also he’d have more children with his new wife and hers and DB’s children would me diluted down in media circles. The spotlight would be on DB’s young children.

Then we’ve also got the knighthood. She may have been holding out for Lady Beckham. That’s a big thing to give up plus if she divorced him I don’t think she could have tolerated another woman being Lady Beckham.

Is this why she stayed? I don’t know but did these thoughts cross her mind if she’d’ve divorced him? Maybe.

Perhaps they’re using each other. She helps him keep his family man image and she gets to be Lady Beckham. Win win.

ninjaassassin · 01/02/2026 12:27

@SinicalMe Yep- I agree.

I think for Victoria, the idea of staying with him even if he cheats, is far preferable to divorcing him and seeing him publicly shack up with a much younger model and having more children.

I think that would absolutely destroy her.

Here you go - Tom Bowers talking very explicitly just last week about David Beckhams 25 years of slagging around - on GMTV with Susannah Reid!

Tom Bowers is a BARRISTER - he’s not going to put himself at risk of being sued by a multimillionaire - so he has all the evidence.

IMHO her plan B has also eroded and destroyed her - as it would anyone.

She’s now also lost her first born as well as her MH and sense of self (IMHO) comparing who she is now with the 29 years old from the Parkinson interview
posted earlier.

But more importantly it’s very sad that all the sibling relationships have been annihilated - basically her whole family has shattered into smithereens. That would destroy any mother. I believe she worked had to hold it all together, did a deal with the devil - DB, cash and fame - and it’s all imploded with lots of casualties and collateral damage.

Yes, I think this might be true too 😔 very sad. If true, how could DB just constantly cheat on her, he seemed so in love at the start

OP posts:
ninjaassassin · 01/02/2026 13:05

@Wirrrrrral yes, I agree.

@Thatannoyingadvertsongstuckinmyhead David said he was going to marry her from seeing pictures of her. She was the more famous one when they got together. He put her on a pedestal and no one can live up to that in real life.

In the documentary he even said when he first met her she was “perfect” but “not any more”. I suspect his view of love is very shallow and simplistic and not really based on anything apart from looks.

Thatannoyingadvertsongstuckinmyhead · 01/02/2026 13:05

Wonder if DB has ever wanted to leave her? I mean, why stay if he’s just shagging around anyway. Strange also how he’s never fallen for anyone else if he has been seeing them
