Am I cheap for never tipping delivery drivers?!

Just curious to know if I’m BU.

Had a chat about Deliveroo etc the other day and a friend always trips the delivery driver about £5 every time she orders. Me and my other friend said we never do, you get charged service fees, delivery fees etc and pay higher for the food. A £15 meal can end up costing £22.

I have tipped before on Christmas Eve but usually I don’t.

Do you think this is bad or do you think it’s fine?

I deliver for Dominoes. We are paid minimum wage. The majority of people don’t tip. Even if you only tip a pound or two it helps to lift our pay and goes towards the wear and tear on our vehicles. It’s a nightmare in the dark. You can’t see house numbers and nobody thinks to leave an outside light on. Have a heart please.

Am I missing a trick by not expecting netball players to bribe tip me for umpiring their games?

I don’t expect tips for doing what I’m paid to do, and tipping culture is yet another social dilemma we Brits are too frightened to talk about.

As a delivery driver (home shopping), I never even expect tips and have refused when offered too (it's usually pensioners because you have helped a lot). Nor do I give tips when we have deliveries.

I would tip takeaway delivery if I ever got it, but luckily I live within walking distance of some excellent takeaways so I don't need to. I certainly wouldn't tip supermarket deliveries or Amazon, though. I know the job is tough and I wouldn't want to do it, but I honestly can't afford to tip everyone who provides me a service.

I usually do £2

No. I will tip if paying cash, they can keep the change, if the change is under 3.
I tip the Tesco driver.

So are many others, such as shop assistants, refuse collectors, office cleaners. They don't get tips. It's not that hard riding or driving around delivering food.

All through a uk winter?

Edited

I'm surprised that the Tesco driver accepts tips, I'm sure they aren't supposed to. I would never tip a supermarket delivery.
