Travel from Wembley Stadium to Stratford...or somewhere else?

Hi

I hope it's okay to ask a quick question. I've just booked concert tickets to take my kids at Wembley Stadium and am looking for a cheap hotel. Stratford premier inn is a good price and looks doable on the tube. Is that a good option late at night? It's convenient for travel home the next day but I don't want a journey that's a massive PITA late at night.

Thank you in advance

Use the bus!
Download citymapper app and check out different options for hotels slightly further away.
For example
The 440 from stop F will take you to Wembley (not Wembley park) travelodge in 16 minutes
the 483 from stop SA will take you to Ealing travelodge in 38 minutes.

I would stay nearer Wembley if you can. Stratford can get a little bit rough late at night away from the westfields shopping centre area (which is generally safe even late evening).

The Premier Inn in Stratford is right next to Westfield, so not in the rougher part

Native Londoner who has done many a concert at Wembley and the trick is to leave just as the last song is coming on. Means you can get through to the tube in minutes instead of hours.

Yes, even my super fan 21y daughter does this now!

Yup I think once you go to enough concerts you become very aware of just how much a pain in the arse journey home can bring down the vibe and start valuing leaving on a high and saved time over staying til the bitter end 😁

@pogglewump The Premier Inn at Stratford is right by the Westfield shopping centre and Tube station. The very short walk is well lit. I would certainly stay at the Premier Inn and take the Jubilee Line.

When I go to Wembley I get the Jubilee Line to Stratford then swap to the Central Line for the last few stops. As pp say the queue to get on the Tube after the concert is long and it will be crowded but as the journey progresses the number of passengers reduces.

The other options are to take the Jubilee Line to Bond Street and change on to either the Central Line or Elizabeth line to Stratford. However, these interchanges are an PITA so staying on the Jubilee line is easier.

I would not trek to Stratford. If you can find somewhere to stay near Finchley Road or Swiss Cottage/W Hampstead, that would be a pretty easy journey. I park near Finchley Road and get the jubilee line, very easy. Stratford is too far after a late finish.
