The more tenuous the better.

I don’t want any of your “My mum used to clean for a famous pop star” because that turns into pages of tiresome questions and “Oh go on tell us who it is/give us a clue/no I can’t sorry”

I want such tenuous connections that nobody will bother asking follow up questions.

I’ll start.

My dog was Mr Tumble’s dog’s mum.

Oh and Claudia Winkleman before she was famous bought me a lovely bunch of flowers for doing her a favour, she was and probably still is a very lovely woman. Went to a few celeb parties when younger.

I was invited to a party Eric Clapton was also invited to. Neither of us went.

Used to repair Robert Carlyle’s wife’s laptop. Repaired Paulo Nutini’s phone once. Hid from Tommy Flanagan from sons of anarchy at work as he was fuming about his broken phone.

I was secretary at a folk club the night that Peggy Seeger of the Seeger family (and wife of Ewan McColl and mother of Kirsty McColl) performed.

As a folk club organizer who often puts up our artists at home to save hotel costs, I have washed the underpants of some big names in Irish and Scottish music, including Micho Russell, Andy Irvine and Manus Lunny. And Frankie Gavin said he liked my chicken pie.

Gok Wan and his film crew filmed me walking along the street. He gave me a ‘you go girl’ look.

Gok Wan and his film crew came into Macculloch and Wallis (big London fabric/haberdashery shop) when I was in there buying a zip. Everyone in the shop studiously ignored them

I sat next to Eddie redmayne’s granny on an east coast train to London. She seemed quite taken aback when I didn’t know who he was and didn’t believe me when I told her I don’t watch telly!
