The more tenuous the better.

I don’t want any of your “My mum used to clean for a famous pop star” because that turns into pages of tiresome questions and “Oh go on tell us who it is/give us a clue/no I can’t sorry”

I want such tenuous connections that nobody will bother asking follow up questions.

I’ll start.

My dog was Mr Tumble’s dog’s mum.

I've given Martin Lewis (I think his name is) of money supermarket fame employment law advice.

I've appeared on Granada Reports news being interviewed.

I've slept with someone closely connected to the Innocent Smoothie brand.

My friend at primary school lived next door to Brian Cant’s mum. 🤣

My son has met Prince Harry twice
My cousin lived across the road from snooker champ Hurricane Higgins ( before he hit the big time)

As a seven year old girl in my swimsuit on Weymouth beach I asked Mr Lucas from Are You Being Served for his autograph.

He said, "Of course son".

I've always wondered since if I look manly in my bathers.

About 60 years ago (see username) I rescued from a bin at our local swimming pool the greaseproof sandwich wrapping Dave Clark (as in The Dave Clark Five) had discarded, and stuck it worshipfully in my autograph album. I’ve still got it.

I recently and somehow managed to catch the eye of, pull, bed and then get dumped by someone reasonably famous - depending on the scene if you're into it. It was a confidence boost like no other but is now confidence destroying heartbreak like no other 😔

I was interviewed as a passerby by MTV, when we visited new york. They filmed me looking left and right as well at the buildings around me. I was 18, it was a couple of months after my brother had a traumatic death and I cannot even remember what they asked or said to me! I also have no idea if it ever aired. But it was exciting haha..

If not, I once saw mick hucknall with a very tall blonde who was clearly a model. She towered over him!

He was in the queue right behind me at a Little Chef at a services on the M6 circa 1987.

I am married to someone who once stroked Bob Geldolf’s dog in a lift. He got growled by Geldolf not the dog.

I went in to Mungo Jerrys house about 50 years ago. He had a pond with fish in his entrance hall!

I was behind Andy Whyment (Kirkie from Coronation Street) at the checkout in Warrington Ikea. He's a lot smaller than he looks on screen. 🙂

My Brother’s best mates’ brother was in the same class a Dudley Moore in primary School.

A family friend was Vince Vaughn's body double when he was filming something in London a fair few years ago. But what makes my claim to fame even more impressive (😂) is that this guy's sibling was a seat filler and also waiter at the Oscars. So I'm basically in there with all of Hollywood.

Oh and Gareth Gates was in the choir that sang at my parents' friends' wedding.

My husband’s nan’s best friend was the mum of Davy Jones from The Monkees. How’s that for tenuous!
