Whose voucher is this?

My friend was trying to order something online (an expensive coat in the sale) she couldn’t do it because the website kept glitching.

I offered to order it on her behalf, I knew she was desperate to order it before it went out of stock and the website seemed to be working for me.

I managed to order it, but the company messed the order up, they sent the wrong thing, it took forever to sort out but eventually I got a refund after trying all avenues of complaining but it was a massive pita.

I gave friend her money back, we both said we’d never use that company again, friend still didn’t get the coat but had chosen another by this point.

The company gave me a significant voucher as a good will gesture. Is the voucher mine or my friends?

Yanbu - it’s yours
Yabu - it’s your friend’s

Definitely yours if you had all the hassle of dealing with them and you were out of pocket while you waited for a refund.

@Grabacoffeeandcake It's your voucher.
You're the one who had all the inconvenience.
Your friend still has a coat - even if it's not the first one she wanted.

Spend it on something nice for yourself.
Don't mention it to her.
