To wonder what US Trump voters think now

Their country's reputation trashed. The man they voted for heavily implicated in the Epstein scandal. Contempt shown to them abroad.
About to completely shift Ukraine. Enabling Netanyahu to commit mass murder of children with their tax dollars. No roaring economy. The environment fucked probbaky beyond saving due to their inaction.
What, in all honesty, do the 75 million who have caused this catastrophe think?

Even more so after reading some of the appalling responses on this thread, I think right thinking people should.now as far as possible boycott US goods. If you're UK based, write to your MP to complain about Starmers pathetic obsequiosness. Dont watch the FIFA world cup. Refuse to serve American tourists in European restaurants. Make all Americans aware their national reputation is being trashed. Yes its unfair. So what? Its unfair that 75 million idiots foisted this disgusting apology for a human being on the world.

I agree with most of this but not this one about not serving tourists.

Many US tourists can’t even stand trump and that’s partly why they are travelling in some cases .

My (POC female) friend is coming over to visit me from the U.S. and I’d hate her to be treated badly when she is already someone who is particularly harmed by living under Trump and did not vote for him just like the vast majority of Black women.

Not to that nonsense no. It’s not merited

Which part?

Donttellempike · 04/01/2026 22:38

There is nothing remotely funny about the post. So what is your agenda??

I don't have an agenda, unlike the OP who wants to make American citizens uncomfortable everywhere they go.

ReyRey12 · 04/01/2026 22:53

According to reddits r/askatrumpsupporter they seem to be totally fine with everything

SuperbMum1 · 04/01/2026 22:57

Everyone had better get used to Trump—he’s going to be around for quite a while and there’s nothing those obviously suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome can do about it. The Democrats won’t get back in next time anyway, as it looks like their party is beginning to implode as more and more Americans are waking up to the corruption and policy failures in Democrat-run states (Illinois, Minnesota) , including all the fake companies and outright fraud. Has anyone seen the jaw-dropping Nick Shirley YouTube video on Minnesota’s billion-dollar fraud scandal with over 3 million views in 9 days?
Also some may think Kamala Harris is a very capable woman, but can you honestly picture her negotiating on the telephone with Putin? She couldn’t even explain clearly what her policies were …… she just told us she would carry on with the same policies as Biden had for the previous four years. She told us Biden was fine and healthy….

Critics keep underestimating Trump. Time and time again he defies expectations. They think he is stupid and a criminal — Love him or hate him, he’s leaving a mark on history. He may end up going down in history as one of the most successful American presidents ever. May even actually join the other presidents on Mount Rushmore!!!!!

CotswoldsCamilla · 04/01/2026 23:03

Wasn’t everyone’s favorite Dem, Bill “I did not have sexual relations with that woman” Clinton also in bed with Epstein?
They were all at it.

i am not a fan of Trump but given the choice, I’d take him over Starmer most days.

keepcooltillafterschool · 04/01/2026 23:13

I second the previous poster about Nick Shirley's Minnesota video...it is absolutely jaw dropping!!

You are aware of how many people worked for American companies in the UK aren’t you. Dear lord, stop serving tourists, what next do you want a symbol sewn on to clothing to out them.

I have to work over there a lot and have friends i have made through work and have known a long time.
All educated, different religious and ethnicity too.

My general take on it is that most people i know who voted for him, seem happy so far.
I go back next week so it'll be interesting to see what they think now.

And to the pp stating London is safer than all US states/cities.
I often walk through New York, Chicago, Boston etc alone and don't feel unsafe.
I recently got an uber for half a mile in London because it is far from safe. It is vile.

Indiependant · 04/01/2026 23:25

I get the impression there are no circumstances in which the 77 million will vote for anyone other than Trump/Vance. So whats the solution? The 75.million who didnt.vote for him plus like minded non voters emigrate and take their businesses and capital with them?
Europe/Asia etc could cope with proportionately spread.nunbers of this.magbiturde.
Or perhaps they need to actually go down. Recession. Dow Jomes tanks. Deeper recession. Sanctions on US goods. Public sector workers stage a mass walkout. Massive demonstrations. Mass civil unrest. Social breakdown. Law and order breakdown. Shops looted. Private militias. Tourist revenue disappears. Malnutrition and hunger. Eventually war and massive loss of life. The end of America, of capitalism, perhaps of this species which has trashed the planet and itself.

OP I'll tell you what they think. They think "how much worse it would be is Harris was in charge"

If that's the best you have then its even worse than people imagine

SabrinaThwaite · 04/01/2026 23:31
  1. Has basically strong armed countries into paying their way and not hiding behind the States when it comes to military defence

Hmmm. Trump has been distancing the US from NATO.

If I were Greenland I’d be worried.

That’s quite a rude way to talk about the vast majority of American voters, who were clearly feeling that the previous administration wasn’t working for them.

The democrats certainly weren’t doing a sterling job as far as Americans were concerned.

And one night suggest that British voters were quite “dense” for voting in this bunch of amateurs, who seem to have absolutely no idea about what they are doing, and are making the UK a pretty depressing place to live for a lot of people.

So, it’s not really about being “dense” is it. It’s about personal priorities and values. Trump is offering the American people what Biden wouldn’t and if they are happy with that, who are we to call them stupid or dense?

Ok then
Your personal values and priorities are crass and vulgar

I'm pretty gloomy, but even I think you're going a bit far. First of all, about 33% of the electorate is diehard Trump. The rest of his votes came from a variety of voters and he's been hemorrhaging support from the non-die hards. Young people and non-white voters are deserting him in droves. The Republicans are imploding amongst themselves. People's lives aren't getting better, they're getting worse. The democrats are lamer than I'd like, but they've done well in the elections so far and might be able to wrest back some control in the mid-terms. Electorates change. It's not going to be a pretty few years, but I don't foresee mass emigration or the end of the US. Or not just yet, anyway.

Jumpingthruhoops · 04/01/2026 23:43

BlueJuniper94 · 04/01/2026 10:15

The number of people losing their minds about Trump, still listen to The Rest is Politics as if one of them isn't a war criminal, had and have nothing to say about Obama in Libya in 2011 or illegal drone strikes. But orange man bad. Its all bad, but it's just the double standards which expose just how effective propaganda actually is.

I've heard the Venezuelans are relieved someone is finally helping them

Came on to say this. Quite an oddly timed OP given his recent action in bringing down an actual dictator...

I'm so confused when people talk about him like he's a normal politician making some unpopular decisions, when he's so obviously a raging, inconsistent, self-aggrandising narcissist. Things like the new presidential "biographies" that have been put up under the portraits in the White House (seriously, look them up if you haven't seen them - if I described them it would sound like I was making it up), or his reaction to Rob Reiner's death (which he doubled down on) for just a couple of very recent examples. Imagine if Starmer (or any of our PMs) acted like this, or if Obama had said even one thing similar to the constant stream of barely coherent invective that Trump comes out with. And then the supporters have the gall to accuse people of TDS for noticing the blatantly obvious! It's like living in a parallel universe.

Surreal isn’t it

The new presidential "biographies" that have been put up under the portraits in the White House are absolutely hilarious .......👏👏👏👏😂😂😂😂. The next POTUS can change them. I absolutely loved them especially the photo of the Auto pen for Biden.......so so funny. What's wrong with a sense of humour?????? Starmer could do with a sense of humour ..... he is like some boring robot!

The USA itself is the problem

of course I feel sorry for the non trump voters but the whole country is reaping what it sows
they don’t vote for gun control, abortion rights, they really allow things to go backwards, removing healthcare benefits, putting and anti vaxxer in charge of health and allowing the chasm between the rich and poor to be wider than we can really comprehend. It’s what they want and believe and in many ways it’s natural selection

out of such a huge population the only candidates they can come up with are dire ( so much for the land of opportunity)

but what they are doing to the rest of the world is vile and disgusting. Pull back from involvement in some areas if you want but the pathetic jibes and threats at other countries esp Canada, Denmark etc are beyond contempt. I would be so ashamed to be part of that. Venezuela is just the beginning

sleepwouldbenice · 05/01/2026 00:10

No, the whole country is reaping what part of it has sowed, just like the whole UK (and Europe) is reaping what the Leavers sowed. Some of us do vote for gun control, abortion rights, healthcare benefits, vaccines and candidates like Mamdani. Unfortunately, between gerrymandering, an antiquated electoral system, a judiciously stacked Supreme Court and a media ecosystem now almost wholly owned by billionaires, we now have a system where a minority of the country has a disproportionate amount of power over the majority. Plus the fact that the Republican controlled house and senate have decided to cede their roles of acting as a check on presidential authority. This republican congress has the ability to stop almost everything this White House is doing, should they choose to exercise their constitutional power. They choose not to.

I don't think the candidates are necessarily dire, but I do think the Democrats rig the system in a way that rewards establishment candidates and doesn't necessarily foster great young political talent, and there should be some serious reform. There are some interesting people to watch out for in 2028 - Wes Moore, Chris Murphy, Mark Kelly, Josh Shapiro, AOC. It's not like we're swimming in great choices here in the UK - Starmer, Badenoch, Davey, Farage, not exactly inspiring. I like Polanski, but don't think the Greens are serious contenders.

And, yes, I agree about what he's doing to the rest of the world.

Trump arrangement syndrome I suggest you go away and have a look at the history of Caracas and what's going on there this was a precision Targeted incident in Caracas because he is trying to protect the USA from crime and drug trafficking do not comment until you know more about what has gone on in Caracas over decades with the corruption, fixed elections you name it - do some homework Before your ignorance blinds you completely

If Trump cares about drug trafficking then why did he pardon JOH?

Files released. Peace plan for Ukraine still being worked out. Israel Hamas peace plan actually agreed upon. 4.3% growth in GDP. They are fully utilising their energy resources.

Files released? They had to be dragged kicking and screaming and even then have only released a small fraction, after having depleted the world's supply of black ink redacting over 500 pages in their entirety.

Complete DRIVEL. Just because the regime removed was vile doesnt justify anything at all done in response. America is a disgrace, the American people who voted in this appalling adjudicated rapist liar and friend of a mass paedophile deserve the disdain of the world, international isolation and I hope their economy collapses.

Oh yawn fucking yawn.
