To wonder what US Trump voters think now

Their country's reputation trashed. The man they voted for heavily implicated in the Epstein scandal. Contempt shown to them abroad.
About to completely shift Ukraine. Enabling Netanyahu to commit mass murder of children with their tax dollars. No roaring economy. The environment fucked probbaky beyond saving due to their inaction.
What, in all honesty, do the 75 million who have caused this catastrophe think?

Trump arrangement syndrome I suggest you go away and have a look at the history of Caracas and what's going on there this was a precision Targeted incident in Caracas because he is trying to protect the USA from crime and drug trafficking do not comment until you know more about what has gone on in Caracas over decades with the corruption, fixed elections you name it - do some homework Before your ignorance blinds you completely

Absolutely nothing in anyway shape or form to do with oil then ?

Sarah2891 · 04/01/2026 10:30

A lot won't care. They support him no matter what.

Sequinsoneverythingplease · 04/01/2026 10:30

Zonder · 04/01/2026 10:27

I know. Trump's level of derangement is unbelievable. And yet some still support him.

It always makes me smile that so many are convinced that Trump is a single, uncontrollable zealot with no team behind him directing him where they want him to go. He’s just a figurehead and his worst impulses are checked. The majority of US citizens want what he is doing and don’t care what a load of middle class women from the UK (like this country is doing any better!) care about it, thankfully!

BlueJuniper94 · 04/01/2026 10:38

Why did the previous administration pardon Maduros drug trafficking nephews? Why did Biden do that? Genuinely, can someone explain

BlueJuniper94 · 04/01/2026 10:08

The scale of TDS here is mindblowing

Can you imagine any sane, professional president making up that people have a 'derangement syndrome' if they don't agree with everything he says? It's gas lighting at it's finest and the man is a complete narcissist.

Narcissists though have an amazing ability to lie, get people to believe their lies and be popular thanks to their lies and manipulation. Narcissists tell people what they want to hear and seen to be fairly common in politics - Farage is a great example for instance.

It's sad that people fall for it so easily.

Some of them may view Trump's as resourceful for attempting to seize Venezuela’s oil resources and believe that doing so would benefit them directly

I think its important to hold lots of complex bits of information in place for this. I have a Venezuelan friend who left because of Maduro. Maduro was a dictator. He did not win the last election. But also, this action by the US has nothing to do with restoring dignity to the people of Venezuela. Trump has clearly stated, it is so the US can run Venezuela and bring US oil companies in to secure the oil for the US and sell oil to make the US money. Trump has not explained how this will put money in the pockets of the people. Trump is also refusing to acknowledge the candidate who did win the election democratically, saying she has no respect in the country. So he is not restoring democracy.

Why don’t you take your misogynistic ignorance somewhere else ?

Complete DRIVEL. Just because the regime removed was vile doesnt justify anything at all done in response. America is a disgrace, the American people who voted in this appalling adjudicated rapist liar and friend of a mass paedophile deserve the disdain of the world, international isolation and I hope their economy collapses.

Take your dead cat and shove it. Biden is not dragging the world to the brink of World war 3

I doubt many people think what you put in your first sentence. The team around him is very visible.

It was a hostage swap. Something many presidents, including Trump have done.

Easy to find the facts. The two nephews were sent back to Venezuela in exchange for (I can't remember if it was 5 or 7) Americans being released. Interestingly, some of the Americans were oil executives. I'm really not sure I see the US oil companies lining up to go to work in strife-filled, mid-regime-change Venezuela. They haven't always been keen in similar situations.

Dymaxion · 04/01/2026 11:06

I imagine they care very little for anything that is happening outside America. If their standard of living has improved and they feel monetarily better off, that will be what keeps them supporting Trump ?

I'm not an American so obviously didn't vote but I continue to applaud the amazing things he does.

Files released. Peace plan for Ukraine still being worked out. Israel Hamas peace plan actually agreed upon. 4.3% growth in GDP. They are fully utilising their energy resources.

Z0rr0 · 04/01/2026 11:10

They don’t think.

RoamingToaster · 04/01/2026 11:10

I think the majority of Trump voters don’t care about international issues apart from perhaps Venezuela as Trump was the anti-Iraq candidate and supposedly different to other politicians. If it goes full on regime change and boots on the ground with soldiers dying I think that would really hurt his base. There are some who are basically in a cult and would support anything he does. It’ll be interesting to see what happens to the republican party when he leaves.

user233675892 · 04/01/2026 11:10

Invading Venezuela was a very unpopular policy before this (recent YouGov poll below). I don't know if these actions will have changed this or not.

My feeling is that Trump is bleeding people who voted for him because they believed he would help their personal situations (many of whom are now losing their health insurance or seeing it double or triple). They might not care about the imperialism or the illegality, but they might care about the expense at a time when their situation is getting worse.

But the diehard MAGAs will never leave him, no matter what he does or what he's implicated in - they're already trying to excuse Epstein stuff on the grounds that some of the girls were 14. Some are stupid (sorry), some love that he hates the people they hate, and some still think they'll benefit personally.

It hasn't, though. And that might be his downfall.

Peace plan for Ukraine still being worked out

😂 It’ll still be at that stage when he leaves if he doesn’t walk away first and blame Ukraine. You can’t get peace without pressure on Putin and Trump has time and again proven he won’t do it.

24kPalamino · 04/01/2026 11:14

I spend quite a lot of time in the US for a Brit, and the places I go seem to be very happy with Trump. Granted, I haven’t been to California, or New York for a couple of years.
Many Americans I speak to show more concern for us over here actually and dismay at the government we are lumbered with.
