Delivery driver woke us up at 0700 on a Sunday morning

A supermarket delivery driver crawled around the cul de sac for 5 minutes in his noisy vehicle then sat idling with whatever his radio was playing loudly.

I went to speak to him and he wasn’t allowed to deliver groceries to my neighbour until 0730 so sat outside my house waiting.

AIBU to have gone out and asked him to turn it all off/down?

Only asking as I did this and came back in to an angry teen saying he’s just doing his job etc. well he can do it more quietly and respectfully at this hour surely!? Now overthinking, should this be part of their training etc

Also pointless exercise as I’m wide awake now anyway 🤦🏼‍♀️

I get you.
These very early morning interferences are shocking, anxiety inducing and a bit embarrassing.
Not much can be done about them, though.
Try not to give it to much thought/time.

If you genuinely find them shocking,
anxiety inducing and embarrassing you’ve got a lot of issues!

In no way is a delivery van at 7am any of the above.

Shocking and anxiety inducing? It’s a neighbour getting a weekly shop.

I guess we’ve “embarrassed” ourselves this morning with Tesco turning up with the weekly shop.

Sorry, to clarify, I meant myself, woken up and in my PJs running to the ParcelForce delivery guy at 6.55 AM, because I live close to the depot.
Nothing about the Tesco driver above! 😁

Well now I’m unhinged. I can assure you I’m not however I haven’t given this much thought until I clicked on “posts that I’m on” so I guess it didn’t really bother me that much after all 😀
