When I lived in France it was on offer all winter in the pubs (near the Alps).

Drink what you want when you want. Where still making out way through the Christmas food

HippoandtheScabbyBrats · 03/01/2026 18:41

Is that all that's left? 🤔🤣

GreenPoms · 03/01/2026 18:42

It’s a winter drink, not an exclusively a Christmas one.

LilyCanna · 03/01/2026 18:42

We’re not even halfway through winter yet, go for it.

Makingpeace · 03/01/2026 18:43

I had one yesterday in a café with my lunch.

Go for it! I definitely think it's a winter drink rather than a Christmas drink.

MadKittenWoman · 03/01/2026 18:43

We’re drinking some now!

gryffindor1979 · 03/01/2026 18:43

Love a mulled wine 🍷

Allswellthatendswelll · 03/01/2026 18:46

I don't get the idea that stuff is just for Christmas! We are v much still in the same season so eating mince pies, nice meat etc.
Also we are in Christmas reductions!

Rafting2022 · 03/01/2026 18:56

If everyone said no would you pour it away?

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 03/01/2026 19:08

It’s officially Christmas until Candlemas, which is the 2nd February, so feel free!

Gloriousgardener11 · 03/01/2026 19:09

Hhnh

Gloriousgardener11 · 03/01/2026 19:12

No idea what that was about?
Yes drink it anyway or save it for the summer and have it chilled with fruit and lemonade, it’s just like Sangria!

Of course it's ok to drink mulled wine in January, it's a winter drink. I found a non alcoholic bottle of mulled wine in the cupboard the other night, it's delicious. It's cold and frosty here and the mulled wine is the perfect drink right now.

It's still Christmas in my house anyway, the tree and lights are still up, I love the cosy atmosphere in this cold weather and having a warm drink of mulled wine in the evening is just lovely.

Have a shot of cherry brandy in it- out of this world. Can’t beat a mulled wine in freezing weather.

No, I don't have any! I was wondering whether it'd be weird to buy some over the weekend.

Saying that, if everyone said 'no' it wouldn't stop me from getting some either if I fancied it. I was just wondering what people's take on it was!

Ooooh that sounds divine! Would cherry bitters add a little summat summat to it too I wonder....?

Raera · 03/01/2026 19:25

I like to drink it warm in the winter, but buy it on special offer in spring as it's lovely in a beef stew

Does it matter what other people's take on it is?

Natsku · 03/01/2026 19:29

Its still Christmas anyway so no reason to stop drinking it even if you view it as only a Christmas drink. I will continue drinking it until we run out.

My take is drink what you want when you want. What do you honestly think might happen, worst case scenario?

pizzaHeart · 03/01/2026 19:36

I’m not a fan of mulled wine even at Christmas but it’s definitely a winter drink.
I would check online if it’s available in your shop before venturing out of the house. It's bloody freezing out there. Or at least go to a bigger place where you can get these bag of spices for mulled wine. Sainsbury used to have them.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 03/01/2026 19:41

Had the cherry brandy shot in one at a Christmas market recently - was gorgeous and took away that slightly bitter taste mulled wine can sometimes get after drinking a glass.

Anyone would think it's a forum...
