Not a serious thread but is anyone else not doing anything for NYE.

AIBU to think that NYE is a PITA and staying in is the new going out.

Here you go @Tana433 although that might not even be enough. Maybe try hitting your head just hard enough to knock yourself out for an hour or so. The splitting heading afterwards would be a small price to pay!

Just discussing with the DP whether we’re going to to go our local tonight, just a village locals pub…….
nice place, good enough crowd, but both of us have agreed we’d be happy to go and have a few drinks before coming back home before the nye arrives to have our own glass of fizz etc.
both of us have said yes, we’re happy to go but can’t be arsed with the getting ready and the cold walk there and back (only 10 mins away 🙄)

Went out with friends this afternoon instead. Had a few drinks then a meal at 4pm. Train home at 6.30pm. That's NY done for us. Don't intend staying up until midnight, but one of the neighbours is having 10 mins of fireworks at midnight and DS will crawl in , making loads of noise trying to be quiet, at some ungodly hour, so not expecting to get much sleep.

Had a lovely supper at my dd’s bf’s family. Home by 10pm. Perfect.

Its called JOMO....joy of missing out.😁
I am collecting adult children as there are few taxi's, even in a city.
NYE is a bore IMO.

Oo I like JOMO, I’m going to start using it!
