Anecdotally.,, I’m on Mounjaro and have not got flu this Christmas…

Totally not a medical fact, but all of my family have been really, really unwell with very bad colds thru to flu this Christmas,

3 very fit, healthy adult children and partners, healthy husband. No flu jabs (will rectify this from now on).

Very poorly in the run up to Christmas, we’ve come away to a holiday cottage and I’m pretty much Florence Nightgale to everyone.

i feel fine. I’m either bionic, or will be floored by the weekend. the only thing I can think of is 1 year plus on Mounjaro, which is not a medical consideration in terms of immunity,

anyone else on the WLIs escaping the worst of this horrible virus, or am in indeed bionic?

Coincidence maybe. But there is a lot about GLP1'S we don't know.

But it often is. Though in this case in OP’s study of precisely one family we can’t even create a correlation.

I’m not on Mounjaro and I’m a greedy ba5tard who has spent all of Christmas main lining chocolate. So are my family greedy and a bit unhealthy. We haven’t had flu

Im not on MJ and have not got flu.

My sister has been on MJ 5 months and its currently on day 6 of being extremely poorly with flu

Weirdly OP, WLIs did not exist until a few years ago and, historically, not 100% of the population got flu every year.

I’m not on WLI and haven’t been unwell, my DH isn’t on them either and he’s been really unwell. My sister who is on them has been unwell my BIL who is also on them hasn’t been unwell. My SIL has just come down with it, she was on them a couple of months ago and stopped. I don’t think you’re bionic lol

This has got me thinking - neither have I been sick since I started it. I am normally two doses a year. One at start of summer and one in Winter. I have had nothing and on WLI since Aug 24!!

Not this time though - hence the pondering.

Im not on Mounjaro or any other WLJs. Not only have I not had flu this year, but ... I haven't had so much as a sniffle in over 2 years.

Sorry to break up the party - I’m on MJ and I also thought hmm I’m doing pretty well escaping the dreaded flu, maybe it’s the MJ!?
then came down with the flu. It’s been awful!

My friend accidentally went through a red traffic light and she didn't get flu this Christmas either. I think I might try that next year.

Friend on mounjaro had the flu but was the least affected in her household.

Although I have heard it acts as a panacea, I think the no colds is a coincidence. It’s pretty rare to get the actual flu too.

I am not on MJ and have not had flu for about 25 years. I also cannot remember the last time I even had a cold- I think it was about 3/4 years ago

I’m also not on WLJ, had poorly DC and DH, work in retail, commute on the London Underground (which is FILTHY) and I’ve not had flu this Christmas.
