I’ll start - people who can’t wait to take the tree and decorations down on Boxing Day (or any time during the following very few days) and ‘have a really good clean’.

2nd (this’ll be popular on MN!) - people who don’t like dogs. 🐶❤️

OP posts:

People who don't like cats.

People who buy ready made veg and accompaniments eg mashed or roast potatoes, red cabbage, chopped up Mediterranean veg, and bread/ cranberry sauce/ gravy.

People who didn't go to university.

People who have Botox and fillers.

NinetyNineRedBalloonsGoByAgain · 30/12/2025 17:34

Adults who love Disney. I think they’re from another planet full of thickos

I’m not against Botox and fillers as a rule but I cannot understand how some celebrities (eg Simon Cowell) who take it far too far can look in the mirror and think that they look anything less than terrifying.

2025mustbebetter · 30/12/2025 17:37

People who like Mrs browns boys.

FourLeggedPenguin · 30/12/2025 17:38

People who haven’t read a book since they were at school.

Women who always have immaculate nails - how!? (I’d love to be part of this group but seem doomed to chip my polish the second I step out of the house).

People who post on their personal (not business) social media multiple times a day, every single day - especially if they’ve got a load of ‘friends’ and followers they’ve never even met, they’re clearly aiming for as many likes/comments as possible, and even more so if these updates are usually accompanied by selfies. I don’t understand what they’re hoping to achieve!

Just people who like a really good clean - I’m a total slut 😂

Me too. I keep getting told that cleaning something is so satisfying. I never feel that way, more so 'so that's four hours of my life I'll never fecking get back isn't it'.
People who book package holidays and just sit in the sun and drink cocktails and go to the beach.

People who don't like or respect other animals.
People who order takeaways all the time.
People who queue up outside shops on the morning of the sales-what can you POSSIBLY need so badly that you'll put yourself through all of that?! 😂

TrumpDerangementSyndrome · 30/12/2025 17:43

People who wilfully skew an OP to suit their agenda of terminal misery and then have the sheer lack of self-awareness to keep banging on and on and on about it.

People who don't read and are proud of it.

People who think Farage is anything but a nasty racist grifter.

People for whom cleaning is as good as life gets.

the80sweregreat · 30/12/2025 17:44

People who actually like their birthdays and seem to celebrate for days at a time.
People who don’t like hot drinks especially tea!
People who look put together all the time and always immaculate. How do they do it?
People who like shopping ( although I do like a supermarket)
People who don’t cleaning or tidying up. It’s so satisfying seeing it all clean and tidy.
Ones who can eat and drink what they like and never put on any weight.

Nancylancy · 30/12/2025 17:46

People who would rather stare at their phone than interact with others! Or this new generation of people who are "too anxious" to make a phone call or talk to another person. Genuinely don't understand it.

Nancylancy · 30/12/2025 17:46

Oh and people who like Donald Trump!

WareColkar · 30/12/2025 17:48

PlazaAthenee · 30/12/2025 16:17

The non-ironic "live, laugh, love" types.

I refuse to move from my stressed, miserable bugger lane 😁.

How about people with an ornament saying

soak

in the bathroom ?

Purlant · 30/12/2025 17:50

I don’t think anyone really, as I know I like and dislike things that people feel the opposite to, so I can emphasise with people liking or disliking things!

Howarewealldoing · 30/12/2025 17:52

People that’s talk in the middle of doors ways and paths
people that assume someone is stuck up because they are introverted

Thepeopleversuswork · 30/12/2025 17:53

@Rosamutabilis

People who didn’t go to university?

That’s pretty judgmental and small minded, a lot of people can’t afford it. Also needlessly self limiting. A degree doesn’t automatically render someone intelligent or interesting. Increasingly these days it’s a marker of inert privilege and lack of any clearer idea of what to do.

And I speak as someone with two degrees about to embark on a third.

the80sweregreat · 30/12/2025 17:54

Ones who are constantly cheerful. Nobody is cheerful all the time! Stop being so positive , sometimes life is stressful and hard going. Find the inner negativity! Glasses can be half empty you know!

Purplecatshopaholic · 30/12/2025 17:55

Anyone who buys or lets off fireworks.

MNLurker1345 · 30/12/2025 17:55

People who watch Strictly.

outdooryone · 30/12/2025 17:57

People who have dogs or cats.....
People who value brands, goods, material things over life experiences.

User7854653 · 30/12/2025 17:58
  1. Parents who don't give their kids any screen time and also don't buy them any toys. Genuinely baffled how they get their children to stay meaningfully occupied during hours where adults need to be doing other things. Always get a sneaking suspicion there is some form of neglect going on where older siblings are parentified to keep the younger ones occupied, or all the kids are yelled at until they learn not to expect any entertainment.

  2. People who treat their dogs like children (and expect others to do so as well)

  3. Adults obsessed with Disney

  4. Anyone with excessive lip fillers and loves going to Dubai

  5. Extremely religious people or families of any sort. Totally respect someone's personal choice for their beliefs but if they cannot string three sentences together without making a reference to God, it's a bit too much. Have met a few people who genuinely need to mention god in every single thing they say, almost like an ND person info-dumping about their special interest (the big difference being that ND special interests are usually hugely entertaining).

  6. Women married to completely useless men but are the embodiment of toxic positivity. The ones posting family photos in matching pyjamas and constantly posting about how #blessed they are on social media. When everyone knows their husbands are clearly cheaters, gamblers, lazy, abusive, alcoholic, unemployed etc.

dooflepops · 30/12/2025 17:59

People who don’t know anything about the world and are happy in their own insular little life. These are the kind of people you would hate to be in your team at a pub quiz because they have no interest in anything that doesn’t affect them, or have any desire to educate themselves on anything.

333FionaG · 30/12/2025 17:59

People who judge others by what they wear/what they do for a living/where they live.

ohyesido · 30/12/2025 18:00

People who reference their or their DC’s undiagnosed ADHD and/or autism at every opportunity

When mil said she saw no point in reading a book that didn’t give you factual information. Reading and literature are basically the bedrock of my life since I learned to read so when she said this I knew we may as well be on different planets. Never agreed with anyone less.
