I got enough for what I thought would last four days maybe as I don’t want to step foot inside another shop for a while!
Dh has messed up my food challenge by using all the milk for constant coffees (I bought so much milk)
Yesterday was xmas dinner obviously, today ham, tomorrow-leftovers and remains of cheese and biscuits and Sunday more leftovers and I have some nachos that i’ll do with cheese, salsa etc. Monday I’ll probably need to stock up

Somewhere in the region of circa 6 years, give or take....

13RidgmontRoad · 26/12/2025 18:09

We have a delivery coming Sunday - bread, milk, fruit and veg. I reckon we could manage another 4-5 days without but would actually start to get scurvy.

Isseywith2witchycats · 26/12/2025 18:10

The fridge tomorrow's dinner and breakfast the freezer in the garage about two months worth

Fuzzypinetree · 26/12/2025 18:19

I could go for another week or two without having to go shopping...There's plenty in the freezer.

DelphiniumBlue · 26/12/2025 18:24

Probably 2027, we have so much food I can't fit it all in the fridge, I've got all the green veg in a coolbag. DS didn't trust that the person who did the shopping ( long story, but not me) would get everything, or enough of it, so he doubled up on turkey, ham and beef. I'm checking what the foodbank can accept, but I don't think they would take cooked food.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 26/12/2025 18:24

Tomorrow, but i haven't bought any "proper" food for a week. So need milk, bread, veg etc.

We also didn't buy over the top of xmas food, so there isn't loads of leftovers either.

Sgtmajormummy · 26/12/2025 18:27

Tomorrow. I need coffee beans and fresh fruit.
Might make a trip to Lidl during the post-Christmas lull. I’d been avoiding it for weeks.

PortSalutPlease · 26/12/2025 18:29

We went today largely because we were so stuffed yesterday we couldn’t face another heavy roast dinner so we picked up the stuff to do a pasta dish instead!

peoplewatchingonthewaybackhome · 26/12/2025 18:31

We have a shop coming tomorrow. Lots of party and Christmas food in the house but nothing to make actual meals with.

MumChp · 26/12/2025 18:36

Sometime next year.

PinkiOcelot · 26/12/2025 18:37

Got a delivery booked for Sunday. Didn’t go overboard for Christmas though.

Newsenmum · 26/12/2025 18:38

Tomorrow!

itsthetea · 26/12/2025 18:39

Tomorrow to see us through to next Saturday including hosting on New Year’s Day

still have lots of nice stuff and a well full freezer but need milk and fresh veg ( edit well want not need )

MeAndMyGhost · 26/12/2025 18:40

I've run out of wine (why did I think one bottle was enough?!) and no bagels/crackers for the smoked salmon/cream cheese combo.

Times are tough out here; send thoughts & prayers for this dire situation.

December2025 · 26/12/2025 18:40

A few days of planned meals could scrape another week of odd meals and then survive on porridge etc for a week if I had to but I'll probably end up going on Sunday.

MakeMineAMilkyTea · 26/12/2025 18:40

I’ll need to pop out and get milk early next week but I won’t need a full shop for about a week and a half. Will need to top up the fruit and veg but we always have to top that up every 3/4 days.

Givemeausernamepls · 26/12/2025 18:42

I got my Xmas food shop on 22nd and will get next shop 29th / possibly 30th as not ordered it yet.

Nourishinghandcream · 26/12/2025 18:43

Early next week (Mon or Tues) for milk and fresh fruit & veg but otherwise we have plenty.
We have spare bread in the freezer but generally we make it ourselves (and keep sufficient ingredients for a few weeks).

Pleased to say nothing in our (well stocked) fridge will be wasted.
For Christmas lunch, everyone clears their plate (smaller helpings with seconds available if necessary) and unserved items go into the B&S for Boxing Day breakfast.

We rarely waste and/or throw away food, in fact the only time it happens is if a piece of fruit is squashed or a newly bought veg is rotten when we go to peel it.
Our food waste caddy is only used for peelings, eggshells, teabags etc.

Postscript.
Our last visit to the shop was Sat 20th when we got the Christmas veg & milk.
Everything kept fine and the milk is long dated.

SocksAndTheCity · 26/12/2025 18:46

I had to go out for milk today, but I've already cancelled Sunday's delivery because I won't need it.

A couple of fancy bits for New Year next week probably (I won't need them either, but I'll want them) Smile

SpiralSister · 26/12/2025 19:05

One hundred years.

Apart from milk!

maddiemookins16mum · 26/12/2025 19:08

I did a big shop on Monday 22nd. I’m planning the next big shop on Saturday 3rd Jan but we’ll need some bread, milk, eggs and cat food within the next 4/5 days.

GlitteryUnicornSparkles · 26/12/2025 19:11

Other than bread I’ve got enough food over to last close to another week.

Jellycatspyjamas · 26/12/2025 19:13

I’ll need some bits for Hogmanay but meals and snacks and drinks are all good for the next week or so.

23doorsdown · 26/12/2025 19:14

Plenty of food but underestimated the milk needed, ran out at 5pm today so will go tmw.

Doggymummar · 26/12/2025 19:15

Ivd cancelled Sunday's delivery, except for 100 fags
