Our new neighbours who don't celebrate Christmas have decided it's ok to start jet washing the front of their house on Boxing Day! My family does celebrate Christmas and think this is really disrespectful.. does anyone agree?

There's always one, isn't there?

You need to buy a private estate then you can have complete control of your environment.

It's a bank holiday, we gave family visiting and its really noisy!

Well they could be celebrating and blasting music, which would also be noisy! I don’t see the issue

I can’t believe you’ve posted this, you should have called 999 immediately instead of wasting time!

Evergreen21 · 26/12/2025 21:06

No I don't agree. They might also find your extra family annoying noise wise. So what?

SodOffbacktoaibu · 26/12/2025 21:14

What a bizarre pile on. Yanbu.

Boxing Day is an important family day in this country. Jet washing is fucking noisy. Cleaning a car doesn't take long but hours of it, doing the house is not very considerate.

But you know, it's every man for themselves and a massive fuck you if you have a problem with any noise these days. Standard MN response is "move to a mansion with no neighbours if you want any consideration, peace or quiet".

And??🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ why is your family more important than any others?

JohnofWessex · 26/12/2025 21:30

Why do people jet wash their homes unless they live in a van?

RosePetals86 · 26/12/2025 21:34

i also think massively odd to jet wash the path on Boxing Day- must be bored of their family op!

Eightdayz · 26/12/2025 21:39

Did you not know that the 26th of December is the day to celebrate the patron saint of Pressure Washing? (St Karcher)

MargaretThursday · 26/12/2025 21:45

I love jet washing. I'd put on my boots and offer to help.
