I’m feeling pressured to share mine. But feel like I need to keep my orders private.

is there a way I can share it, but hide my orders and past orders away from them?

OP posts:
Mcdhotchoc · 27/12/2025 15:49

No.
I shared benefits with dh. We cant see each other's purchases.
I'll order the odd thing for our adult kids and have it delivered but beyond that its £9 a month and are grown ups

MakeMineAMilkyTea · 27/12/2025 16:16

I do this with my dad. We have an Amazon family, he can’t see my orders and I can’t see his. The only thing we can share is kindle purchases which annoys me as I get all his zombie apocalypse stuff. Thankfully turned that off now so we don’t even share that anymore

I thought you have to be at the same address for prime deliveries

You can have prime delivered anywhere.

VeterinaryCareAssistant · 27/12/2025 16:21

I share with a whole group of people - my 6 kids, their brother and sister in laws, my ex husband and the TV at work is logged in to my prime too!

You can have prime delivered anywhere.

You are all supposed to live at the same address to share prime benefits as part of Amazon Family. You can still have deliveries sent to other addresses

Zanatdy · 27/12/2025 16:27

Tell them to send you links to order. My son uses mine, was a bit awkward at Christmas.

Kardelen · 25/12/2025 12:14

Oh really, maybe it’s to do with settings then?
because I share with my husband currently and I can see his orders

Def settings

I share with dh. Now an ex. We can’t see eithers orders

but think can only share with one person

I just give people the log in details to my account. They can watch the tv and they just change the delivery address and bank card when they order anything.

Kardelen · 25/12/2025 12:03

No, they said we can split the cost for Amazon prime and to use for deliveries

I would say you are happy to order for them and they can transfer money to you, only if you are happy to do that obviously, that is what I offered it worked for a while then the 8.99 miraculously appeared and they got their own prime.

Emiliaswrath · 27/12/2025 16:41

I share with my adult son who lives at a different address and we don't see each others orders. However, he could see my Kindle library before he told me and I changed the settings. That was a bit embarrassing 🫣

Starship74 · 27/12/2025 16:57

Amazon have something called household family sharing and I use it. You both input the others email address in the settings and the prime membership links and shares. You both retain privacy and seperate payment and use your own accounts without having access to the others.

it says you’re supposed to live at the same address but they don’t check. I’ve been using sharing for years.

I love the mental image of this _ I imagine the driver taking a photo of your pony with their parcel

Me too, this made me smile! I’m imagining the pony living in a little cottage accepting her parcels!

OP, if it’s not too late, tell them one of your mates did this and her acc got cancelled as she was “caught out” for sharing.

omggggggg · 27/12/2025 18:04

I wouldn’t. I’m quite happy to share streaming accounts but they could easily order things via your payment card if they’re not that tech savvy. Plus have a good nosey at your purchase history.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 27/12/2025 18:12

Vaxtable · 25/12/2025 12:57

No I would not share. You would have to remember to swap addresses all the time, and you would have access to their card details and them yours and you would have to make sure you always have the right card

Its not expensive, they can bet their own

It's not sharing the login details, it's setting up another user on the account.

I'd still say no in the OP's situation, but I don't have a clue what DP orders or his card details and it's only because he uses his login for the TV that I know what he's watched on Prime.

Tell them to stop being tight. My partner and I both have prime. It pays for itself with a couple of orders.

You dont need to both have prime as one person could share the benefits with the other without giving out their own details

Panda89 · 27/12/2025 18:41

I’ve shared Prime with my mum for years. We have separate accounts and logins so cannot see what each other orders.

Im regularly sending deliveries to other people at different addresses

Does she answer the stable door and have a chat with the Amazon driver 🤣

... and tell him how things used to be better with Pony Express 🐎📨

That's cos she's obviously ordering sex toys!
