To think tweets like this from Sultana is useless?

She’s dying of her own actions. After committing horrendous crimes. Why are we wasting energy on this?

Zarah Sultana MP (@zarahsultana) on X

Qesser Zuhrah is dying inside HMP Bronzefield and the ambulance is still not here, @DavidLammy.

Frankly I couldn't care less.

Me neither. I don’t get why our elected MPs are wasting energy on them. They’re spoilt overgrown children who are doing it to themselves

No sympathy and frankly couldn't give a toss. Though it's worrying that there's a number of fools who do!!

threesocksmorgan · 17/12/2025 16:18

tried google, but can't seem to find out what they did.

I'm really not sure how she managed to get enough votes to be an mp- frankly she doesn't appear to have one jote of interest in her constituents or the UK in general

She was Labour, wasn’t she?

There was a big thread on this the other day wasn’t there? With lots of people of people either saying the hunger strikers deserved to die, or they couldn’t give a toss if they died. So no doubt lots more posters will come on this thread to say the same.
Yeah nice….

Looks like they broke into somewhere and caused criminal damage. Seemingly before the group was banned. But criminal damage is criminal damage. They weren’t just waving placards.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 17/12/2025 16:31

“Horrendous crimes” - criminal damage to war machines? If a 19 year old Ukrainian woman caused £1million in damage to Russian war tanks she’d be a hero… can’t say anyone should be treated how she has been in prison nor should someone’s suffering receive such vitriol as this.

I don’t post this to convince the OP, or to convince those replying they hope this young woman gets no help and dies, but for anyone else reading the cruel replies here and feeling as sad as I do, the world is not this cruel in all circles as it is in this particularly white and privileged one. Compassion and kindness are still prevalent, and brown skinned people who protest war are not less deserving of fair access to the justice system and medical support than anyone else.

Boomer55 · 17/12/2025 16:31

I’m not giving her a thought. Whatever, whatever. 🤷‍♀️

I didn’t see the previous post. No I wouldn’t want anyone to die but they have access to food & medical care AND very importantly MH care. And what would ‘Your Party’ do - force feed?

Trying to paint us as racists, nice. She’s doing this to herself. It is her choice. She has been remanded in custody until her trial because she supports a proscribed terrorist organisation.

They’re trying to force medical care which apparently “wasn’t being provided”.

OP posts:
Sid9nie · 17/12/2025 16:42

No sympathy. The delays in court dates were there before they committed their crime so they must have known it was likely.

Sid9nie · 17/12/2025 16:46

And her group did commit a horrendous crime they broke a police woman's back with a sledgehammer. That can't be shrugged off.

MooPointCowsOpinion · 17/12/2025 16:48

Well documented that she has been forced in and out of isolation with no reasons given, had visits cancelled and refused for loved ones trying to check on her during standard visiting hours, had her hijab taken away and not been allowed access to religious dress.

It was not a proscribed terrorist organisation at the time of her arrest, and retrospectively applying that is not allowed under the law.

Refusing medical care to prisoners is against our human rights in this country.

Is it ok that her rights are violated because you don’t like her?

what if down the line your rights are violated and then everyone on mumsnet comes together to decide that’s ok because we don’t like you? Is that how rights should be afforded to people?

I swear, this is exactly why entire governments can just stop being held accountable because the uneducated still love to foam at the mouth for a public hanging, but will settle for this treatment of a human being.

WestwardHo1 · 17/12/2025 16:49

Imagine being so convinced of your own moral superiority and rightness you'd throw away your life. Does she thinks it'll get her Brownie points at the pearly gates or something?

Does she realise most people are entirely unaware?

She hasn’t been refused medical care? At the end of the day she’s making this decision

There's medical staff in prison?

It's not about the proscription necessarily. There are plenty of little old ladies in that group, too, they're harmless and have nothing better to do. Proscribing PA is more of flex, a way for the establishment to show what it can do. It means any group can be proscribed.

“Little old ladies” who support criminal damage and GBH? At the end of the day she’s been remanded in custody pending trial. The issues in our criminal justice system are well documented and the delays in getting cases to trial are well known. That’s a choice she made when she decided to commit a crime. She has now made the choice to abstain from food to protest her being treated as a criminal. Which is what she is.
