To think tweets like this from Sultana is useless?

She’s dying of her own actions. After committing horrendous crimes. Why are we wasting energy on this?

Zarah Sultana MP (@zarahsultana) on X

Qesser Zuhrah is dying inside HMP Bronzefield and the ambulance is still not here, @DavidLammy.

She hasn’t committed horrendous crimes though has she and she shouldn’t be detained.

Her detention is political as is the proscription of PA.

This is all part of trend of the labour government increasingly authoritarian stance and should worry most people. Even those on the right

They broke into a military complex and damaged planes.

“Horrendous crimes” - criminal damage to war machines? If a 19 year old Ukrainian woman caused £1million in damage to Russian war tanks she’d be a hero… can’t say anyone should be treated how she has been in prison nor should someone’s suffering receive such vitriol as this.

I don’t post this to convince the OP, or to convince those replying they hope this young woman gets no help and dies, but for anyone else reading the cruel replies here and feeling as sad as I do, the world is not this cruel in all circles as it is in this particularly white and privileged one. Compassion and kindness are still prevalent, and brown skinned people who protest war are not less deserving of fair access to the justice system and medical support than anyone else.

The correct comparison is a 19 year old Ukrainian woman doing damage to Ukrainian war tanks and she'd be rightly pilloried.

You do not attack your own military infrastructure outside of a civil war. Why is that so difficult to understand?

Is that a “horrendous crime”? a horrendous crime is murder. A horrendous crime is rape. A horrendous crime is not spray painting a plane.

Should they be punished for criminal damage. Yes, absolutely. But that would not normally involve detention before trial.

Upstartled · 22/12/2025 12:41

Are these the same Palestine Action crazies who broke the back of the police woman with a sledgehammer?

It’s treason though, isn’t it?

Right, it's not like they were tagging the local bus stop.

coconutchocolatecream · 22/12/2025 13:00

Commit a crime, face the consequences. Don't expect sympathy if you refuse food or medical care while waiting for the legal system to do its notoriously slow work. Can't say that I feel much sympathy for criminals, and hunger strikers in particular don't deserve my tears.

Good to know these posters don’t see criminal damage as a big deal though. Wonder if they’d feel the same if it was their house being destroyed

She was part of the group that broke the female police officer's spine with a sledgehammer.

They are demanding to be released on bail.

One of their group was released on temporary bail to attend a wedding and did a runner, so apart from being violent criminals, they also pose a flight risk.

Nice people, right? How they have retained their victim halo tells you everything you need to know about the people who support them.

Dollymylove · 22/12/2025 13:42

Ian Brady did several hunger strikes through his incarceration, the authorities eventually deemed him incapacitated mentally and put him on a drip feed. I personally saw no point to this, they should have let the fucker starve to death.
They can do the same with this lot for all I care

On which planet do you think what they did including causing overall life changing injuries to a policewoman is not a ‘horrendous crime’?

I don’t see why they think their emotional blackmail is so special that it warrants special treatment. For now, it’s a free country and they are entitled to stop eating but we are also entitled to ignore them. It’s sad that these young and idealistic people want to waste their lives though.
