To think Spanish cleaning products really are better?

They smell nice, they make me feel like cleaning (almost). British ones smell of sadness in comparison.

Just got a job lot of Très Brujas and 💜

Absolutely! I love the smell of them in my home.

Rainallnight · 16/12/2025 10:12

Ooh I’ve not come across this before. Any recommendations? And where do you get them?

I’m slogging through a spray bottle of Ocado kitchen cleaner at the moment and hating it. Smells of sadness as a PP rightly said.

Pavementworrier · 16/12/2025 10:14

My absolute favourite are the tres brujas range - multi purpose for general wiping, glass cleaner for mirrors etc and bathroom for bathroom. I get them online - if you Google you'll find a few.

They really are the best. Not just the smell (which are so good) but also the power and how long they last. Just vastly superior in every way.

tv12345 · 16/12/2025 10:17

I've not noticed this when cleaning our house in northern Spain, I do avoid anything with a strong chemical perfume smell though in either country.

In other things that Spain do better, I've just seen they're starting a 60 euro monthly travel pass for buses and trains - could you ever imagine that happening here?

JHound · 16/12/2025 10:19

I don’t know any Spanish cleaning products.

Bjorkdidit · 16/12/2025 10:23

In a similar vein, their kitchen bin bags are a lot better and cheaper. We can't find any bin bags to fit our perfectly ordinary kitchen bin in the UK but Spanish ones fit, so I also buy a couple of rolls when on holiday to bring back.

I also like the range of reusable plastic tubs in Mercadona we have loads of them now. There's nothing like them in the UK and they're so cheap.

FrostyFig · 16/12/2025 10:43

I like them too. Three witches and Asevi are my favourites for the bathroom and glass. The laundry products are good, and I adore the Asevi room/fabric spray. It lasts ages. I still use method in the kitchen as I don't know if the Spanish stuff is safe on quartz worktops.

I don't get on with the floor cleaners though. They smell great but seem to leave a film on my floor.

youarebeingsoextrarightnow · 16/12/2025 11:02

Asevi - the pet floor cleaner is lovely and I use their detergent and fabric softener, bathroom, degreaser and disinfectant, can order online or I pick up in home bargains

Prelim · 16/12/2025 11:05

I don’t like them, they smell too fake chemicals for me. I also can’t work out their eco credentials, so prefer to use something that is kinder.

Never thought of a cleaning product as being capable of "kindness", sounds a bit wet. This is maybe why I love three witches 🤣

I thought it was completely obvious and understandable that the word kind in this case reference to being environmentally kind for example, a lot of products are really bad for wildlife or fish when poured down drains and so on.

I agree, the three witches spray cleaners are good especially the glass cleaner but the floor cleaners are shite so I've gone back to Flash for that.

notnorman · 16/12/2025 13:08

anyone know which popular kitchen spray I can use on my granite work tops? I can never see any reference to them on the backs of the bottles so I go to the UK shop to buy method.

Eixample · 16/12/2025 13:13

I live in Spain and honestly don’t find much of a difference. The smell of 3 brujas is ok, but method smells way better

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 16/12/2025 13:19

I have only used the asevi cien floor cleaner and i really like it, makes the whole house smell fresh for a couple of days. I've diluted some in a spray bottle for the bathroom. I was chuffed to find my local morrisons was selling it off for 10p a bottle.

Yes, same.
I use the M&S multi-floor pet friendly cleaner for my floors (£2.50 Ocado). It's much better than the Spanish ones, and smells lush.
Also like flash.

BettysRoasties · 16/12/2025 13:49

Love the Asevi pet floor cleaner. Smells the best out of all the floor cleaners I’ve used.

Used to use the flash pet floor and it was just meh.

Three witches do a specific granite and marble cleaner. Its quite a large bottle that you dilute rather than a spray bottle.
I haven't tried it though as prefer method or Astonish ph neutral for my quartz and granite.

Star81 · 16/12/2025 13:55

i get KH7 for laundry stain removal from Spain and I highly recommend it

Spraying loads of harsh chemicals around your house is really bad for you though. I've started using a spray bottle filled with liquid soap, water and a few drops of tea tree oil (naturally antibacterial) and rosemary oil. Natural, smells nice and cleans well.

impressivelycunty · 16/12/2025 14:29

I love Cebralin quita manchas - basically dry cleaning spray but it soaks up oil from anything (even leather) and then you just brush it off. Amazing stuff.

GalaxyJam · 16/12/2025 14:31

I lived in Spain for 3 years but genuinely can’t remember their cleaning products being anything to rave about! The food and wine, however…

GalaxyJam · 16/12/2025 14:33

In hindsight maybe the issue is that I did too much eating and drinking, and not enough cleaning!

ThisChirpyLemonUser · 16/12/2025 14:34

I get fabulosa disinfectant and dilute it with tap water and a random decent clean spray bottle and it's like 20p a bottle of cleaning spray and it smells lovely much better than those expensive sets for refilling cleaning products
