They smell nice, they make me feel like cleaning (almost). British ones smell of sadness in comparison.

Just got a job lot of Très Brujas and 💜

Spanish cling film is also far superior!

@tv12345€60 a month is a lot though - it’s £48 a month here for a bus pass and we don’t have trains (yet!) it would be bad news for much of the country if everyone had to pay the same for bus passes when we don’t get the benefit of trains because Beeching cut them in the 1960’s

Never thought of a cleaning product as being capable of "kindness", sounds a bit wet. This is maybe why I love three witches 🤣

Sorry I didn’t finish my sentence! I meant kinder to the ecosystem! I wish they would make a kind cleaning product though, so kind it cleaned for you!!

Three witches do a specific granite and marble cleaner. Its quite a large bottle that you dilute rather than a spray bottle.
I haven't tried it though as prefer method or Astonish ph neutral for my quartz and granite.

oo I’ve got some of that but I use it in the mop bucket on the tiled floor! Will get an empty spray bottle and try it. Thank you x

Yes.
I love the Asevi Marsella laundry liquid and fabric conditioner, and there’s an even better conditioner called Romar Marsella (Marseille soap). It’s a smell I’ve never come across in the UK - clean and soapy and distinctive without any of that chemical undertone that’s in all the UK ones.

If you don’t love the Marsella soap based ones, Flor Nenuco products smell of eau de cologne, also great.

I find the UK ones either smell really artificial and overpowering (all those ‘exotic fruit, heavily perfumed ones) or just unbearably sickly sweet (eg Fairy fabric conditioner). And always that odd harsh undertone -what is it? I smell it in men’s aftershave too. Patchouli? ISO E Super?

It's nationwide though and covers buses and trains except the high speed lines I think. So people will be able to use it for trips out as well as commuting.

In the UK if I want visit other cities by train the cost is eye-watering unless you book months in advance and stick to set trains.

You'd likely only have to do one extra trip a month in addition to normal commuting to make this worthwhile and not even that if your normal commute is more than a short hop into a city. For example we holiday in Lanjarón quite a lot which is a spa town in the mountains about an hour outside Granada.

I've been to Granada on the bus for days out and currently the cheapest day return works out at about 6 euros in the app and the first stop on the bus is outside the city hospital so it's very likely that there's people who work at the hospital doing that journey and this pass would half their commuting costs before they think about other travel.

Oh are Spanish cleaning products actually a thing? There's a shop on the way to PILs that just sells them and I've always thought it was a front for money laundering!

InlandTaipan · 17/12/2025 06:16

I'm part Spanish, spend a lot of time in Spain and have literally no idea what you're talking about. I don't like my home smelling of cleaning products so clearly chose other brands but can't say I've noticed anything different in the homes of friends and family either.

AnotherDayanotherNameChangeX · 17/12/2025 06:18

The asevi pet floor cleaner is beautiful (green bottle) and they do nice fabric conditioners too. Home bargains sell them

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 17/12/2025 07:46

I've never bought any cleaning products in Spain, but I have had the best croissants in France. You just can't seem to get the same thing here in the UK.

Yes its a thing 😁
There's a shop near me too, which is where I bought my first bundle. They are available in lots of different places now. Home Bargains and The Range sell some too.
Buying different cleaning products motivates me to actually do the cleaning, so I like to mix things up.

whirlyhead · 17/12/2025 08:26

I live in Spain and don’t find the cleaning products smell of anything! I still use method rhubarb cleaning spray which costs me a fortune from a specialist British shop. The kh7 stain remover for clothes is great and I love Marsella laundry detergent but most fabric softener here smells foul. I also have not noticed rubbish bags being tougher, they still collapse.

I also have a septic tank so would rather not use products laden with chemicals…

I know, I spent years living in Spain and still spend 8 weeks there every year because close family live there and didn’t know it was a thing. I reckon it’s just one of those ploys to make more money out of people.

InlandTaipan · 17/12/2025 09:01

Now Ive got serious fomo 😆

Pavementworrier · 17/12/2025 16:46

I used to.love method rhubarb then one day I made the mistake of using it inside my fridge and the entire fridge honked of it for days and I am thoroughly sickened by it now
