Father in law purchased an excellent car seat for my sister in laws future daughter, yet got one for my daughter from a junk store

Im very upset and currently not speaking to my FIL and not attending his christmas party. SIL says im being rude but probably just because she got the elite super safe seat and my new baby got the awful one. I feel like my daughters life is less valuable. SIL also is having lots of kids yet this is my only one ever. AIBU?

But the same applies, yours doesn’t need to be more decent because he only has to buy you one?

Just buy your own car seat if you’re so worried and particular. Not speaking to him because of it is juvenile.
