To think that my DPD parcel isnt coming today?

It was supposed to be here between 2&3

I could see the driver a couple of streets away, and then the map disappeared and i got this message

Its now gone half 6

I called dpd an hour ago, and the woman claimed there was an issue with the van but the parcel would definitely come today, by about 8 or 9pm

Has anyone had this happen? Do dpd deliver that late?

It was supposed to come on Friday, but o2 didnt send me a confirmation pin that was apparently needed, so it was booked for today

My DPD parcel was booked to arrive today. It’s never left the sodding depot. I am extremely unimpressed but DPD won’t care about that. No doubt they will attempt to deliver tomorrow when I’m in the office (which is why I booked it for today when I’m wfh).

DPD used to be pretty decent but seem to have gone very downhill.

It could still come! My Evri parcel was delivered at 8.30pm last night. I think it’s a busy month for couriers so working late into the evening is normal this time of year. They have lots of packages so may do longer hours for more pay.

They used to be the gold standard! Utter shite now

Literally me today, right now. It's how I ended up here... My parcel was supposed to be delivered Friday, and now today my driver is delayed..... So frustrating..

Evri delivered a parcel to us at 10:10pm last week and rang the bloody doorbell!!!!

We definitely get deliveries well into the evening,’so fingers crossed.

I wonder if we're both near n london 👀

Royal Mail were supposed to deliver my parcel Saturday, then today, perhaps it will be tomorrow!

And has read that since 8pm last night.

I called dpd today as my update wasnt showing and the guy said it was going to be sent back to o2 if I hadn't called but that hes booked it for tomorrow

My ex husband works for DPD, and even during peak season it is not the norm for them to still be out delivering after 6pm.

They add couriers in huge bulk instead, to get through it all within their normal delivery times, mostly from agencies.

I reckon my dpd courier was an agency worker who saw my address being a street away and decided he couldnt be arsed!

@mumofoneAloneandwell any sign of the delivery yet? I've been waiting patiently at home in my DPD time slot and got an email with missed delivery with a picture of my house from the road. If I zoom in I can see me at the living room window.

Why go to the trouble of reaching my address and then not following instructions to deliver here or my neighbour who is also in? Why not just deliver the parcel?

It's all just so pointless...

@mumofoneAloneandwell I guess I'll find out. I'm planning to camp out on my path for the allotted hour. Hopefully that will stop the driver from turning away.

It probably means that the driver has run out of time and has had to finish for the evening. This happened to me a few weeks ago before the seasonal rush began. The couriers are out until 10-11 pm at this time of year and delivering on saturday too. I suggest ringing the automated service and re-booking the delivery for a day when you are in. Or doing it on the website. I know its a pain when your out working. You can also nominate a neighbour or a safe place.

@Friendlygingercat dpd took the picture at 11.20am today and the notification of failed delivery followed within five minutes. Plus the nominated neighbour was at home. I don't think the driver even got out of the vehicle, just drove on by.

Also I present this work of art via Evri. I'm just laughing at this one as I give up waiting for the third time. That parcel has done many many miles by now.
