To be craving a glass of wine at 3pm

Is it the dark nights giving me dopamine issues? I mean I know people can have a glass of wine at 3pm I am just not usually in the mood plus I know it will make me really sleepy about an hour later.

I've just bought a sad lamp will report back but meantime if anyone has any other ideas for midwinter dopamine id be very grateful!

We've had a glass of cold Cava and some Cheddars here. And played scrabble. It's mid winter. It's Sunday. It's allowed. 🥂

Because it shuts out the darkness which is so oppressive.

Im having a glass. 🍷

I’m happy to sit on the sofa for hours and hours. Sometimes. I just want options. Sometimes I like to sit, sometimes I want to go out. In winter I never want to go out. It’s cold. It’s wet. It takes so much effort to get ready to go out. It’s awful for my mental health and, yes, I drink and eat more. So shoot me.

On holiday, we're normally drinking by about 11.30 like the locals. Then by mid afternoon Im thinking, my god Ive had about 3 glasses by now in various bars.

Not at home as a norm though not, not sure alcohol is a dopamine thing to be honest, not to me anyway.

Surely craving alcohol isn’t normal.

For goodness sake, why play obtuse, she simply means she fancies one, as I’m sure you know.

it is though. People crave a bar of chocolate for example on occasion, or a good coffee, why not a glass of wine??

Just my opinion but I don't believe that craving and fancying are synonymous.

Craving- you must have it
Fancying- you would like to have it.

Semantically, both words live in the domain of desire, but craving leans toward compulsion & need, while fancying leans toward preference & interest.

(And, yes I close my curtains - they are thermal lined and keep the heat in!).

Of course it is. Like craving chocolate. Or bread. Or anything really. Normal human feelings. And it’s even ok to give in to it as long as it’s not every time.can even be for healthy things, like sunshine. Or salad. Or exercise.
Or are you interpreting ‘craving’ as an irresistible urge? Does this reflect something you personally have found?

Well I've just made a full roast and cleaned up so im going shop soon for a nice bottle or white. I didn't have a drink last night so tonight is my Saturday 😂
