Do you deccorate the outside of your house a lot for Xmas?

How far do you go with decorating the outside of your house? More & more houses are becoming so lit ip that ours looks drab in comparison. We dont fancy getting on ladders to hang lights around the house. The drive is covered in cars so seems pointless decorating the drive. Then there's storing all the kit for 11 months of the year. Any ideaa to make the outside less drab in comparison?

We have a few tasteful pieces and I stick to the same colour light theme.

I think that’s key. Different themes on one garden are jarring.

Chevy Chase has a lot to answer for! Before National Lampoon did people in the UK decorate the outside of their houses. I don't recall it happening before then.

We go for tac mas outside a bit. Currently just the icicles and string lights.

Still got the candy canes, snowflakes, projector, light tree and inflatable reindeer to go out 🫣 oh and a 8ft solid candy cane for photo props.

We also have window lights and a light up Santa stop here sign. We are not the most decorated or the least somewhere in the middle.

People were inspired by a guy climbing up his house spending all day with a staple gun only for the lights to not work in the end without the sizeable risk of his house setting on fire?

No not really. We have a led reindeer that goes outside the front door and put those hanging star things in the living room window so they can be seen outside but that’s all
