To ask we ever find out what happened with the SIL who kept asking to take things at Xmas dinner?

Tragically I’ve realised that I’ve been invested in the thread for a best part of a year!!
The SIL would come to op’s house and shamelessly ask for other people’s presents and even the Christmas dinner. I don’t think we ever got a resolution!
With Christmas coming round again and SIL presumably en route to Op’s - AIBU to ask what’s going on with the grabby SIL!!!

Can you post a link to the thread please? I must have missed it, it sounds… interesting 🤣

I would like to read said thread!

FuzzyWolf · 30/11/2025 18:56

I think she took the OP’s phone, iPad, computer and finally WiFi so they stopped being able to update us.

RudolphTheReindeer · 30/11/2025 19:04

Ohhhh yes. I'd like to know too.

runningpram · 30/11/2025 20:34

Yes that’s the one!!! I’m hoping it wasn’t fiction. It was very entertaining if it was though!

Goldpanther · 30/11/2025 21:29

@Addyview Any SIL updates?

Novostella · 01/12/2025 07:12

I must have missed that thread, I wonder if the greedy SIL did come for Christmas last year?

jeaux90 · 01/12/2025 07:33

I have someone in the extended family like this. Very very entitled. Lays claim to everything.

ThisLuckyOpalShaker · 01/12/2025 07:39

Andromed1 · 01/12/2025 07:40

How do you deal with something like that? I’m afraid I think my temper would wear very thin and I wouldn’t be inviting them to anything because of their rude behaviour, it must be draining spending time with someone like the OP’s SIL.
