I know it’s early but I left my husband for a few hours yesterday, two cans of snow spray and asked him to do something nice with it on our front room window.. Came home to this, amazing stuff I think. Should I start pimping him out, would you pay for this, how much? If

Thanks everyone, I can’t get the video of him doing it to upload onto here. Started a Tik Tok and it’s on there if anyone wants to see.

I'm being thick, but those are on the outside right? So he does it in reverse? Anyway they are gorgeous . My fave is the snowman scene. Lucky him to have such talent!

RedTiger21 · 23/11/2025 01:56

He's not Banksy is he??? Fantastic!

Why, is it Rupertmas?

Edited

Not sure if this is just a joke but, just in case - Rupert the Bear has a pretty longstanding association with Christmas in the UK.

Rupert the Bear Christmas annuals date back to the 30s and, although Christmas annuals do have a longer history than that, earlier characters haven't maintained any cultural relevance.

Bowies · 23/11/2025 05:57

Does he do them from imagination/memory OP?

It’s been a long since since I saw Rupert and friends…

OnToast81 · 23/11/2025 07:36

It’s all done free hand and it’s done from the inside. He did Rupert because he was my childhood favourite.

You should be so proud. He has done an amazing job. I personally wouldn't pay because we only have a little bungalow but I am sure that shops, nurseries, schools etc would love to put his talent to use

SemiRetiredLoveGoddeess · 22/11/2025 23:45

Yes, my retired, male neighbour does this type of thing every year for a local Special Needs School.

He has no artistic training but uses stencils. Is that what your husband used?

Its all freehand, I took a video of him doing it but it’s to big to upload onto here, it’s on my TikTok.

I've just spent s very happy 20 minutes watching all your tiltok. Absolutely enchanting. I fancy having a go at something simple myself now. Thanks for sharing.

BeardOToots · 23/11/2025 09:10

He could definitely charge for these. I know lots of people who paint Christmas windows and they are all overbooked. I’m a signwriter and graphic artist, I do the odd one, did one yesterday and it worked out around £50ph.
The nice thing about his is that they are a little different, they aren’t painted with signpainters enamel (slow, expensive), or chalk pens. The fact he did them in 3 hours is great too, I’ve seen lots of lovely amateur stuff when out and about, then when I ask it turns out it took someone 2 days to do something that would have taken me 15 mins 😂

DarkRootsBlue · 23/11/2025 09:28

So good! Amazing he did them freehand.

Mcoco · 23/11/2025 09:36

Following on tik tok now

Peachy66 · 23/11/2025 09:37

I have just watched your video on TikTok and was blown away. Your husband should definitely start charging for his talent.

I know who Rupert Bear is. He was in the Daily Express all through the year for decades and has had various TV shows broadcast through the year over those decades. His adventures take place all through the year.

The Beano Book dates back to the 1940s but no-one's spraying Minnie the Minx across their windows because it's Christmassy.

mamagogo1 · 23/11/2025 09:49

Amazing, I’d love that on my window

MasterBeth · 23/11/2025 09:52

LaMarschallin · 22/11/2025 23:51

Ah, right.
I'm not big on Tiktok.
It would just be a shame if his work was plagiarised.

How could someone "plagiarise" this? He's literally copying someone else's copyright characters!

ThatLilacTiger · 21/11/2025 21:19

The bear is giving this 'come at me bro' pose (pic loading). But yeah it's cool. Wouldn't pay for it as not to my taste but it'd be nice for him to volunteer to do it for a school or hospital or something.

Why volunteer? Who says he had the time?
What are you volunteering your time on?

Labelledelune · 23/11/2025 11:54

I would definitely pay for this and I think shops would.

Labelledelune · 23/11/2025 11:58

I can’t believe that some people have left negative sounding comments. It never ceases to amaze me how people can find something derogatory to say even when the post is wonderful like this one.

Maybe some people are more honest than you.

What is that supposed to mean? Why not just spit it out rather than make an innuendo. A woman puts up a photo of what her talented husband has done , what in gods name can you find to be negative about. And believe me I’m as honest as they come.

Some people can’t cope with talent and compliments to someone else, it makes them jealous, resentful and bitter, it is better to just move on past it.

OnToast81 · 23/11/2025 12:28

OMG, Rupert the bear was my childhood favourite, there were Christmas annuals, books, cartoons that run for decades.
The reason my husband chose Rupert is because I had a pretty awful childhood and one of my handful of happy memories is sitting in my nans front room at Christmas with a Buttery Jacket potato and watching Paul McCartneys Rupert and the frog song video, that is why he chose Rupert and why I love it so much.

You don't need to explain you choice of character OP.

Ignore or send your DH round to do them a Dennis the Menace and Gnasher window scene 🤣🤣
