Do vapers realise how bad they smell?

Yeah, yeah cigarettes stink. But do vapers realise how bad vapes smell and how that sticks to their clothes and hair as much as cigarette smoke does?

Not just the vapes that smell like demented haribo strawberries, but the ones that dont have a flavour. They all just smell awful. In fact the flavourless ones smell worse because they just smell like a dirty car.

Getting into the lift at work you can always smell if someone has just come in from a vape.

Again, cigarette smoke blah blah blah.

I know a woman who walks around with one of those pretend fags actually in her mouth , don't know if it has got anything in it, but it dangles out of her gob like a dummy, beyond ridiculous, like a toddlers dummy.

Weirdly I don’t feel any different! My dad actually says my vape is ok, I use custard flavour but he says the grape/berry/ice type smell a lot

I just wish people who did vape would just, you know, use their brain and put it in a bin if it stops working. Constantly finding them at roadsides, in the park and on verges. I’ve lost count how many I have taken away from my young dog who thinks it’s a toy he can chew on.

Several in my family vape. Ive never smelled a thing on their clothes after. It doesnt linger like cigarette smoke.

There are two types of vaping devices. Those that produce a small amount of “smoke” and those that produce the clouds of “smoke”.

Its the clouds that people can smell and also sticks to clothing.

I vape and I use the ones that produce a small amount of smoke which is actually vapour. I started vaping as a way of stopping smoking which I did successfully but now I’m hooked on the vape.

Those criticising vapes etc I am guessing haven’t smoked so may not understand the draw! I really don’t understand, though, why someone would do it if they’ve never smoked. I think it should be a regulated thing so that you can only get from pharmacies.

I do want to add that generally you won’t find me walking anywhere public sucking on my vape!

I think a lot of people have decided that any 'smell' is related to vaping.

It absolutely never occurs to them that it could be fabric conditioner for example or perfume (lots of cheaper body sprays smell sickly sweet!).
It is like a little obsession that flicks a switch in their brain but I would guarantee if you lined a group of people up, 50% that vape & 50% that don't nobody would have a clue who the vapers are!
It is quite sad really that people spend their time so hyper aware of something that, in reality, affects them so little.

Maybe it's a bit like when I lost weight, I didnt feel any different but when I started gaining it back, I started to realise how bad I felt overweight if that makes sense?

The government have (or will be?) banning single use vapes to hopefully reduce this. The imbeciles will still just throw them in the general bin though.

Vapes smell awful.But I haven't noticed that the smell hangs around on people who vape.

I wonder if there is an element of just wanting to put the boot in a bit and perform a kind of disdain for vapers.

I mean, I don't like vaping but I do feel sorry for vapers. They have been sucked in (so to speak) by a whole new project of addicting consumers, at a time when we liked to think of ourselves as a society that protected its members against such an atrocity.

But the ones being thrown on the ground now are not single use. They recharge a limited number of times and then still get thrown on the ground unfortunately.

However the strong stinking cannibis people are smoking now is way worse.

I can't stand it. DH has a strawberry flavoured one and it absolutely reeks - I make him go outside 😂

Reduce the power and hold it in and it's hardly noticeable.

The huge cloud stuff is highly embarassing.

Not sure you meant this for me. I don’t use the big cloud vapes. My vape doesn’t have different powers, it’s just one button.

I share an office with three women who vape. I also have a crazy keen sense of smell.
I have NEVER noticed a 'vape smell' on any of them.
Yes, the product smells if you walk past, not it doesn't cling like cigarette smoke does.
