Best friend’s DH social media

Don’t know why but this is bugging me a bit.

on Instagram you can see on the ‘reels’ section which ones your friends like. I think it’s relatively new.

best friend’s DH liked a reel of a very provocative woman (literally about 90% nude) etc…. I was shocked when I saw it as I personally hadn’t noticed he liked anything like this before. basically quite bad to be honest. I think it’s a porn actress.

he has a bit of a history of chatting to woman online (a few years ago, claims
to my friend he has stopped and she’s found no evidence since).

long story.

i have the screen shot. Do I tell her or not? DH thinks I should but I don’t want to upset her when she doesn’t really need that at the moment as I know she’d blow up over this big time (she’s said one more thing and that’s it). They have a DD.

I also don’t want it to backfire encase she tells her DH and he then blames me (we are a close group of friends, her, me, her DH and my DH) then that friendship is ruined.

AIBU NOT to tell her?

What does it prove? Honestly.

I agree with you.

Makemeanonymous · 14/11/2025 22:52

Perhaps it might be as well if you don't say anything just yet but keep alert to if you see him doing similar in the future with this porn actress or other women.
And I think then yes you should say something to your friend.

mzpq · 14/11/2025 23:03

YANBU to not tell her.

YABU to even consider telling her in the first place.

Do you not have much going on in your own life?

Flannelfeet · 14/11/2025 23:09

Don't tell her, its really none of your business. Lies always come out in the end so he will be found out eventually.

Edited

That’s my thinking. She has caught him before I think it will happen again. That was years ago so I think he is hiding it very well. (She found a private app on his phone)

Irishpoppy · 14/11/2025 23:12

If you’ve seen it, she will likely see it too.

100thbillionthnamechange101 · 14/11/2025 23:12

I wouldn't say anything, it proves nothing aside from he's a letch.

Also, if you saw he has liked it then she will be able to see that too surely?

This doesn't feel to be the scandal you want it to be tbh

Shes obviously suspicious then, dont let on you know and get yourself involved. All you can do is be there for her when the shit hits the fan. Xx

Kimura · 14/11/2025 23:15

So he's liked a picture of a scantily clad woman on Instagram...and the issue is?

Lindy2 · 14/11/2025 23:19

So he's liked an Instagram post of a semi naked woman.

While a little bit unsavoury it's hardly unusual and not a marriage ending issue surely.

ColinVsCuthbert · 14/11/2025 23:30

That's hard unless you KNOW it is deliberately liked. I've (or my children on my phone) have accidentally liked FB reels, I definitely don't follow them. He could explain it away. If you think she will take it poorly, blame you or accept excuses, there's no point sharing it.

Callwaiting2025 · 15/11/2025 00:47

He's a total sleazy creeper, but she already knows this and chose to stay with her grim, grubby husband.

I would stay out of it completely, and stay away from him completely. She will definitely shoot the messenger - women who put up with creepy men always find a way to minimise these scuzzballs and blame women for their behaviour.

He's in a relationship? You don't do that when taken.

OP, friend didn't leave when he cheated / text other women before- she won't leave him now.

Millytante · 15/11/2025 03:24

Get you, able to differentiate between porn actresses and other, more mainstream scantily clad artistes! 🤣

If he has a history of this, and she stayed then it’s her problem. I would stay out of it. The fact that he did this and she still believed him, means she won’t believe you. So why make your personal life difficult for someone who will still make bad choices anyway.

Sugarfish · 15/11/2025 12:57

I wouldn’t tell her, it’s just some random account. The people who post these provocative videos are usually just fishing for onlyfans subscribers from sad individuals like your friends partner. She won’t care that he’s liked it and he’s an idiot for leaving evidence.

If it was someone he knows in real life and she was engaging in contact it would be different.

Notsurewhatisnormalanymore · 16/11/2025 12:45

Next time you see her just tell her about the feature. She’ll no doubt have a look and decide for herself.

This!! And to be honest, if a friend told me this, I’d probably laugh. I don’t get why so many women get so upset about a bit of porn anyway!?

Hollybobs1 · 16/11/2025 14:08

Ffs its only a "like" on a reel. No I wouldn't tell her. I don't understand what the problem is!

I wouldnt tell her. Her DH likes a nudey picture, that we know wont show nipple, let alone anything else. Sounds like thats not surprising.

Is it a bit sad and grubby? Yeah. Is likely to end a marriage over it?...

I wouldnt stir it over something as daft as likes a risqué insta post
