Vinted - anyone else think the changes to size ranges and how you can list is a complete PITA?

So vinted has just changed how you can list clothing, and it's infuriating! Anyone else having issues?

The changes mean that instead of being able to list a dress as a 14, it's now a choice between 12-14, or 16-18. Does anyone else find this odd, and counter intuitive? Why not just have each size as its own section/selection?

If anything, I think if they insist on having two sizes grouped together, surely 10/12, then 14/16, and 18/20 makes more sense anyway? I have always listed with detail eg 'this is 14 but no give, so be aware' or 'label says 16 but oversized so suitable for 18/20 also depending on how you like your fit... And I take photos with measurements and always include the label.but haven't made a sale in days, as im not sure people can find the right sizing anymore?

Aibu to think they should have one option for each clothing size, but let you click 14,and 16 so people searching that find it? Or is it their site and I need to like it or lump it?

Its a pain indeed, but if sellers were just including the size in the description or a photo of the label, it wouldn't be that much on an issue!

The real pain is to have to asks sellers what the size of the item is 50% of the time.

Poppins2016 · 13/11/2025 06:27

Yes, I agree, it is a complete PITA. Users now have to wade through double the quantity of listings (I.e. 2 sizes, not just 1) when searching for something. It's not user friendly at all and I think people are going to be put off using the site (I certainly am).

Why on earth can't Vinted give the ability to list and search by standard size... 🤦‍♀️

I agree. I'm challenging an order and asking for a refund. I bought an item listed as S everywhere. Label says M. The seller is arguing it sizes small so it is correct. I'm telling him that this is irrelevant. It's a male item and I'm a woman so I need a small. Surely if you sell something that is M but you think the size is more like a S, you say so in the description! Idiot!

Summerhillsquare · 13/11/2025 06:42

Yes, most sellers don't help because they can't be bothered to describe properly.

I'll see how my items listed this week do under the new regime.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 13/11/2025 06:56

You should be allowed to list using what is written on the label, whether that is SML, 10,12, 10-12 or euro sizes or whatever. The buyer can then a) search for it and b) decide if they want it. I have always thought the sizing was bonkers but this is putting me off totally. Choosing 12-14 or whatever is not the end of the world but at the moment the whole place is like a big jumble sale because everything that was a 10 and previously labelled medium is now labelled 12-14 and not coming up in searches. You can’t tell if it’s ’old’ labelling or new labelling.

camerontucker · 13/11/2025 06:58

It's a pain. I have no idea why they've changed this. I'm
wading through so many listings, not happy.

LilyCanna · 13/11/2025 07:00

The last couple of years I’ve bought loads on Vinted. I’m staying off it until this gets sorted out.

I partly agree - I agree 100% about the picture of the label - I always include the label and 9/10 a picture of it laid flat with a tape measure across. But my issue is now if I'm looking for a sequin top in a 14 I have to wade through all the 12s too, and there is no reason for that, it's a waste of time and energy...

I usually sell alot, and I've already noticed a decrease in sales. I think it's putting people off for sure..

I’ve brought two items since the change and both sellers have checked with me the item label size is what I want. A pain for them but I’m grateful.

JustAn0therUsername · 13/11/2025 07:06

As a buyer it’s a pain. For example in know I am a size 10 in Next trousers. I just want to search for a size ten. 12 would not fit correctly. Just let sellers add the size as per the brand standards. If you don’t add sizes I don’t buy anyway so the fact some were missing means nothing to me. Sellers will presumably just find it harder to sell.

Yes, I had to double check my listings, as things I'd posted as things I'd listed as one thing, were coming up Completely randomly. Eg a 14 under a 32 or something. I think that specific issue was for things listed in the cross over day, so hopefully people have realised and put it right... It's chaos atm isn't it

Surely UK sales havr dopped off this week.
Its an absolute shambles.
Im a 14 to 16. So as a buyer I have 4 sizes to look through......well thats the theory but in reality because old and new listings are currrently mixed up im seeing everything from 12 to 24! Its quite overwhelming and very UNuser friendly.

YorkshireIndie · 13/11/2025 07:12

It is a pain having to go in and change all the sizes. I always list the size in the title and try and take a picture of the label

BlueRidgeMountain · 13/11/2025 07:16

I never buy anything from Vinted now unless it has a photo of the size label. I’ve seen too many listings when I’ve searched for kids closes for age 14 and then in the description “fit my 10year old”. I have no clue how big your 10year old is! If I can see the size on the label I can work it out for myself.

SidNut · 13/11/2025 07:18

The sizings aren’t even correct though! I’ve got some things listed which are L on the label. Vinted now says these are 16-18. They absolutely are not! They’re 12-14 which Vinted now says is M. It’s bloody stupid and will stop me from buying. I also don’t want to be answering a million questions about sizing via message. Sort it out Vinted!

Ineffable23 · 13/11/2025 07:19

I occasionally fit a 12, usually a 14 and sometimes a 16. So depending on the brand I will select a different size. Now I would have to sift through 12, 14, 16 and 18 to look at 14s and 16s. I have been put off even bothering to look at the moment.

Nellodee · 13/11/2025 07:31

I’ve gone into holiday mode as I can’t be bothered to change all my listings. Some people have 100s of items. My favourites list has gone from being full of 10s and 12s to mostly 20-22, but with a few 16-18. Practically none are the right size. I am no longer looking at clothes at all. This has got to be costing vinted huge amounts in lost revenue. I can see why people aren’t changing their sizes as surely vinted are going to have to reverse this change.

Iwanttoliveinagardencentre · 13/11/2025 07:37

I am a size 14 or 16 but now have to search under 24-26 which is particularly irritating given I have just lost a lot of weight so vinted is making me feel as if I have put it all back on again!

Many sellers only use the listing category for size, which was fine in previous times of sanity, so if I wanted to buy something I would now need to message them to confirm. Often people can’t respond straight away and so I could miss buying something in that time.

It’s all too annoying.

I am not buying or selling clothes on vinted anymore unless they revert to reality.

Jamietea · 13/11/2025 07:40

I agree it's a pain. I'm a 12 but more towards the lower end, especially tops. So I'm much more likely to want something a 10-12 than 12-14. It is annoying. Just have separate categories!

Dramatic · 13/11/2025 07:43

Their kids sizes are annoying as hell too, 7 years is the same as 6-7 but so many people list 7-8 years under 7 years. Very frustrating.

nellietheellie75 · 13/11/2025 07:46

My searches for size 14 and 16 this week, keep giving me 22-34!

greengreytrue · 13/11/2025 07:48

Yep. Just had to through everything and repost with correct sizes as well as it changed everything listed as 18 to size 28!

booboohoohoo · 13/11/2025 07:50

WTAF I am a size 10-12. I don’t want size 8 and I don’t want size 14. I tried to look this morning and it was very off putting

I'm the same. I gave up searching after two minutes last night. What an absolute shit show, I genuinely don't know what they were thinking. If we all boycott the site until it's fixed I'm sure they'll revert back to the previous system pretty quickly.

SheinIsShite · 13/11/2025 08:09

Indeed. There is SO much stuff on Vinted that you have to filter smartly to have a manageable choice. Dresses - work dresses - long sleeves - size 14. But now you have to look at all the 12s as well? It just doesn't make sense.
