Vinted - anyone else think the changes to size ranges and how you can list is a complete PITA?

So vinted has just changed how you can list clothing, and it's infuriating! Anyone else having issues?

The changes mean that instead of being able to list a dress as a 14, it's now a choice between 12-14, or 16-18. Does anyone else find this odd, and counter intuitive? Why not just have each size as its own section/selection?

If anything, I think if they insist on having two sizes grouped together, surely 10/12, then 14/16, and 18/20 makes more sense anyway? I have always listed with detail eg 'this is 14 but no give, so be aware' or 'label says 16 but oversized so suitable for 18/20 also depending on how you like your fit... And I take photos with measurements and always include the label.but haven't made a sale in days, as im not sure people can find the right sizing anymore?

Aibu to think they should have one option for each clothing size, but let you click 14,and 16 so people searching that find it? Or is it their site and I need to like it or lump it?

As a buyer I don't like it at all!

Getting double the amount of listings when I search. I'm leaving it for a few days. Hope they sort it out!

KitsyWitsy · 13/11/2025 08:25

I’ve gone into holiday mode and not browsing till it’s fixed. I have enough clothes anyway for the moment.

Hi,

I'm Vinted's virtual assistant. My knowledge is based on Vinted Help Centre articles, and I can help you find answers to your questions or issues.

The new sizing filter groups sizes together (like UK 8-10 or 12-14) to make the system more consistent with international standards and other platforms. This change was made to improve accuracy, especially for items from different countries or brands. Right now, there isn't any information about plans to revert to the previous filtering options or to allow filtering by a single size again.

If you need more details about a specific item's size, you can always message the seller directly to ask. Also, your feedback is important and is being collected for consideration.

Do you have any other questions or concerns about the new sizing system?

booboohoohoo · 13/11/2025 08:53

Rubbish generic response from Vinted

LemonSqueezy0 · 13/11/2025 09:11

Their customer service /responses are notoriously awful.. But money talks, and once they realise people aren't buying, or listing to sell, and it hits them in their pocket they will listen. That's the only hope. It's chaos and makes no sense.

How can they get something so simple so badly wrong??!!!!

RainySundayAfternoon · 13/11/2025 14:10

Yep - I like to see items that are size 10 and 12 but currently I’m seeing everything from 8 to 14!!
Its such a mess and really annoying - I cannot understand why they’ve done this!

Aprilmaymum · 13/11/2025 14:15

Totally agree. I am a size 8 and the pain to have to look at listings to see if it is and 8 or a 10 is time consuming . Most don’t say so then I am trying to see if they have took a picture of the label. Why did they change it ?

RainySundayAfternoon · 13/11/2025 14:18

Actually it’s just impossible - even if you try and change the size settIings in ‘personalisation’ they just randomly change back.

SmockAndBeret · 13/11/2025 14:18

The stuff that was listed before the change has been completed messed up; things I'm watching that were, and are in reality, a 16 are now showing as 22/24! Nightmare for sellers.

I agree with just one size as a listing rather than range.

I've attempted to get around this by searching for "red dress 16" when looking, hoping l get more 16s than 18s showing up!

LadySable · 13/11/2025 14:21

I've put all mine on holiday

TheLocust · 13/11/2025 14:22

I won't be buying any clothing off Vinted until they change this. I know which sizes from which brands will fit me. For example, jeans from M&S or Next in x size will fit me well. Now I've got to plow through loads of listings for size x-y and look at each one individually to see what size they are. Ridiculous. Who does this help exactly?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 13/11/2025 16:25

I finally got the email today telling me how to check all my listing and change the sizes

I’ve also had an issue with a purchase, it’s taken my balance but the purchase hasn’t gone through and I can’t go back into it to contact the seller or to cancel, it’s just frozen. 48 hrs potentially to speak to a human

LavenderBlue19 · 13/11/2025 16:31

Their search is useless too, I've tried 'v neck jumper 20' today and got loads of jumpers where the seller has listed a measurement as 20cms or ins. At least with eBay in ye olden days the search was fairly good.

I've put myself on holiday and am having a break from it. Annoying as I have stuff to list, but hopefully if engagement is seriously affected they'll get the message.

LemonSqueezy0 · 14/11/2025 12:55

To top not off I had an email today saying about selling to America! I can't even buy and sell to the UK atm, so I'm not exactly keen on this new development! It may explain why they've changed the sizes though. So I can sell a £5 dress to someone in New York....

I noticed that today, too! Why would we want to buy cheap stuff then pay £25 postage? Bizarre!

Chinsupmeloves · 14/11/2025 23:06

Yes! It suddenly changed and I don't like it at all. I'm just looking for my size, not one with below or above ffs!

ContentedAlpaca · 14/11/2025 23:15

I'm a 10, so having to look in the 8-10 category. I'm getting 4 8's for every 10. It's too time consuming having to click through and scour the listings for a clue about the size.

ContentedAlpaca · 14/11/2025 23:20

And I've just checked my liked items and they're all in 12-14 range (size 10), so maybe that's where all the 10's are hiding and I'm getting mostly 8's in the 8-10 range.

TheLocust · 15/11/2025 10:37

I have a saved search for clothing which would typically have 99+ new listings each day. Today there's 1 new listing. So are sellers not listing currently or are the listings not appearing in my saved search due to the sizing change?

Dr13Hadley · 15/11/2025 10:41

It is a pain. When listing I always include a picture of the size label if available but also put in the description if I think it’s say a small size 12 or a large size 10 or say it would fit a 14 despite saying it’s a 12 and sometimes I’ll state my height and where a dress comes up to on me despite also adding the length of the dress just so it’s easier for the buyer to visualise the fit. It’s a PITA though sellers don’t always add that info and buyers don’t always read it so there ends up with confusion and frustration.

Absolute rubbish, I'm not messaging everyone to check their size is correct, when the seller may have not been on the app for a day. Come back and receive several messages about it. What a chore for both sellers and buyers.
I reckon I'll go back to Shein for cheap clothes. Tried the environmentally friendly budget shopping. eBay is rubbish now too.
Ive massively limited my activity on vinted until sorted.nSuch a shame vinted aren't listening

Dinkiedoo · 15/11/2025 17:36

Yes I noticed that too and yes its a pain in the derier. Even when listed you can see label in some postings tells a different story

It's put me off using Vinted now tbh. Back to e bay

FancyBiscuitsLevel · 15/11/2025 17:42

It makes it harder - I was just trying to search for trousers from a particular brand - I know what dress size in this brand fits me, I don’t want to see that size and the one up. Yes I can click on each listing and scroll through to see if they’ve added a clear photo of the label, but it makes it slower and far more boring. Just let me search for a particular size!

pinkstinks · 17/11/2025 16:40

Getting children’s clothing in the search now as well 12-18 months 😅
