Andrew and social services

AIBU to wonder if social care have become involved with Andrew Mountbatten’s daughters and Grandchildren? And if not, why not?
he’s clearly a sex offender of a very young woman and I’m not sure but possibly a paedophile. I guess he’s not been charged with anything as yet so that probably answers my question. Just sitting here and thinking about how different life would be for him if he’d lived in an ordinary family

Of course it happens in what appear to be ordinary families. Girls abused by their fathers and step-fathers and passed around their friends for sexual abuse.

AutumnalCrows · 01/11/2025 11:07

Andrew would have to investigated in order to be prosecuted.

Who is going to investigate him without the consent of the monarch? Starmer has passed the buck to Charles repeatedly. Charles would have to then admit they all knew, for a long time, including certain sections of the police & security services and former PMs.

Do you know any pedophiles? They don't come with a sign so you might not know.

I mean, the one I assume the poster is thinking of may as well have had a sign around his neck. As we now know, it was very well known.

He said that to me with no idea what my family are like and I will repeat he is an odious little man.

She also claimed to be dying and spoke from her "death" bed. I'd venture her information was never reliable.

Don’t do this. She was clearly a traumatised woman desperately trying to live a ‘normal’ life. Don’t attack a dead victim, it’s really not a good look.

Well yes everyone knows now and they all knew then. Odd that so many watched his programmes and even applied to go on.

RufustheFactuaIReindeer · 01/11/2025 11:18

Ah, you’re doing a Simon and trying to discredit what I’m saying by suggesting I’m personal besties with them? Hardly

its very obvious what they are doing 💐

Idontpostmuch · 01/11/2025 11:18

Ibizaonmymind · 01/11/2025 11:03

Do you think it can’t be rape if the victim is not held down and physically forced to have sex?

I think you need to do some research and reflection because you’re absolutely fucking wrong about this.

Not rape if he thought it was consensual. Proving he knew she was there against her will very difficult, and she had just posed smiling for a photo with him, one thatbshe had requested for her mother.

Thanks. I’m actually really disturbed by that post and the one suggesting my dad is a rapist or whatever the fuck that absolute scum was trying to say.

For one is daughters are adults.
While what he has done is disgraceful there is a big difference between pedophiles and what Andrew did.
Pedophiles go after children under the age of 13 and usually have an age preference.

Andrew is a predator and even if he was in an ordinary family child services would not be involved, as again is girls are adults and since no charges have ever been laid its a he said she said situation. So they can’t be involved.

One assumes that the parents of the young Royal children know where they children are sleeping every night, unlike at least one American father who was subsequently accused by his daughter of assaulting her. Are the American authorities investigating that accusation?

That's a really helpful response but hardly surprising. Because of the nature of this scandal the rules of law and evidence can be disregarded?

caringcarer · 01/11/2025 11:32

I think Virginia was 17 1/2 when Andrew allegedly had sex with her. The UK age of consent is 16 so SS would not bat an eyelid.

BauhausOfEliott · 01/11/2025 11:33

He’s a repellent individual but he hasn’t been convicted of anything and the girl he is alleged to have slept with was well above the age of consent in the UK.

I don’t think there have been any allegations of him being attracted to children (a man attracted to 16-18 year olds wouldn’t be considered a paedophile by police/social services/psychiatrists).

He’s utterly repellent and I despise him and find his behaviour repulsive. But unless they have evidence that he’s committed offences relating to prepubescent kids, it’s highly unlikely that he’s any kind of risk to his grandkids or was ever a risk to his daughters.

aquashiv · 01/11/2025 11:33

It's not her age that's the problem; it's the other girls some as young as 12.

FairKoala · 01/11/2025 11:34

JazzyJelly · 01/11/2025 09:52

Yes but I think they have young children themselves. I assume OP was concerned about them (and potentially historical abuse of his daughters?).

What makes you think that given at no time has he ever been accused of going after those below the age of consent

I've been waiting for those types of posts to start popping up.

It's surprising that it's taken this long to be honest.

Harrysarseinthedogbowl · 01/11/2025 11:42

Oh, not this again. Paedophiles are sexually attracted to children. Mr MBW is a nasty piece of work, but nothing he has done would (if proved) qualify him to be called a paedophile.

I would guess the poster meant his Great uncle, Lord Mountbatten. I can't see the King being besties with Jimmy Savile.

He has very young grandchildren. But unless convicted - which we all know will never happen- social services won’t get involved.
If I was one of his daughters or relatives I wouldn’t have him anywhere near my kids or young women.

elfies · 01/11/2025 11:53

Not trying to be controversial but King Charles was deeply involved with Jimmy Saville for many years , inviting him to meet the Queen and visiting the palace on many occasions .....Surely Charles should have been setting an example to his much younger brother .

AutumnalCrows · 01/11/2025 11:56

No-one’s stopping Andrew telling all he knows to the police and FBI, are they? It’s about time he did the right bloody thing.

What surproses me most is the air time being given to the Giuffre family. When a teenage girl gets mixed up with this sort of crap one has to ask why and her abuse and misuse certainly wouldn't have started with Epstein. Why is nobody after the parents who should have cared for and protected her?

Andrew is an arrogant and not very bright twit with the emotional intelligence of a gnat. That doesn't make him a paedophile or a rapist and it's notable that neither of his daughters have kicked off against him or other family members.

There are bigger secrets being covered up by a smokescreen if you ask me.

Agreed, she claimed her father sexually abused her between the ages of 7 and 11.

Her Dad was dropping her of at Epsteins.

I've got my own conclusions to what was really going on there. You draw yours.
