Why does all children clothing have Stitch on?

Went shopping today with my 13 year old (petite girl, so still in older child section).
Why on earth is Disney’s Stitch on so much stuff in so many stores.
We found Stitch clothing in Zara, H&M & Primark. But I’m sure it’s probably also on clothing in other stores.
AIBU to not understand the choke hold Stitch currently has on the child clothing market? I truly don’t know many children/teenager who even enjoy the movies.

on the bright side, at least Morrisey can go out tonight

Someone I worked with told me sometimes the licence to use characters becomes cheaper or free after a certain time. Hence why suddenly there’s a specific character on everything. I’m unsure about Stitch but it might apply to others, like the sudden fine art print t shirts at Primark and Zara, Snoopy reappeared fairly randomly too.

There was a Nirvana tote at the checkout in Primark- my teen went ‘it’s what Kurt would have wanted’. Classic teen sarcasm.
Im baffled by adult Disney and Harry Potter merch too.

Let’s not even start on how many lovely simple kids garments are ruined with poor logo / merch designs with inflated prices to boot.

In the absence of a laughing emoji I'm going to have to quote you to applaud you for that. Nice work!
