To be surprised Andrew has lost his Prince title

I certainly think this is absolutely the right decision. But this has all been swept under the carpet for a long time with the usual head in the sand approach. If makes me think there might be more to come out. This wasn't just going to go away.

Oh yes I agree . That is one of the main take aways here .
The ‘protocol’ and titles nonsense revealed This is the beginning of the end .

There is no comparison.

I know there's not its ridiculous, but i keep seeing people desperately trying to compare them
Or somehow trying to blame H&M for Andrews despicable action.

Yes Andrew is not to be compared to Harry. But this is showing that all these titles and honours can be removed with comparable ease if there is a will to do it. In spite of us being told before that it couldn't be done without acts of Parliament.

Well actually, I think there is some truth in this. I don't think the Ducal titles can be revoked without parliament. Andrew's Ducal title hasn't been removed, he has just agreed not to use it. His styling as Prince has been removed and I think the HRH was already gone.

I may have picked that up wrongly, as god knows this stuff is ridiculously archaic and not designed to be transparent, but that is my understanding.

Ukisgaslit · 03/11/2025 08:49

A full parliamentary debate is needed on the whole mess

How many in one family are/ were close associates of pedophiles or actual pedophiles like Mountbatten ?
Why isnt Charles’ close relationship with Saville being examined. And his defence of Peter Ball ?

Ukisgaslit · 03/11/2025 09:05

@TheKeatingFive

Even if an act is required - I saw an MP say it would take a few hours . It’s not as though there would be any objections
And as for the laughable argument from the Windsors that they don’t want to waste parliamentary time ?! Who would believe that line

This is our head of state and how this extended family has behaved . It is central to the whole structure of our society .
And it is rotten to the core

I have no idea how long it would take or anything about the process, however it's worth making the point that it isn't happening with Andrew regards to his DoY title

Ukisgaslit · 03/11/2025 09:16

The fact that there is STILL obfuscation re Andrew’s status shows there is still smoke and mirrors

And all of this performative removal of titles is a distraction. Why have they not have Andrew speak to / help the police ?
Let the police in ( yes they need permission to set foot on a royal estate - even though we own Windsor )
Just do that and stop all the nonsense . Andrew himself swore he’d help the police and he still insists he’s innocent . So do it .

For sure.

And I agree the titles are neither here nor there. He needs to be investigated properly.

What victims have I blamed?

Every victim of sexual abuse who hasn't come forward. People (mainly female) who are traumatised and suffering in a way someone who hasn't experienced that abuse can possibly imagine. And in the case and Epstein and his mates probably in fear of theirs and their families safety if they spoke out.

Why don't you blame all the non-trafficked guests of Epstein who attended his parties, homes and island, saw what was going on and said NOTHING! Or the rich and powerful men who saw it as their right to take whatever they wanted from young, vulnerable and trafficked girls. It is their fault that this abuse continued.

I am saying that those women who were raped, trafficked, or abused by men and carried on in the same place watching the whole thing being repeated on young girls should speak up sooner.

Can you not imagine Harrods shop where the middle age women who had been abused when teenagers, still worked in the shop and saw what happened to school leavers coming into the place to work and never even warned them?

There were enough of them to back each other up. Certainly enough of them to at lease warn the new girls.

Now they want compensation in retirement. I think it is wrong. I am not saying they are not victims. I am saying that they should have stopped it happening to new shop girls each year.

Why did Giuffre stay as long as she did, even prepare - by her own admission - young girls who couldn't speak English? The whole thing leaves a nasty taste in my mouth.

It should in everyone's mouth. Think of all the actresses and how they got to be in films? footballers, how did they get their trials? Athletes, and many many others trying to get to their chosen profession. It has been going on and finding out for decades, yet it still goes on. They are victims, but victims who stand and watch the repeats and say nothing - until they fall on hard times and want money.

PS I was referring to the historical victims who came forward years later, not those who NEVER came forward. We don't know about them, do we, if they didn't come forward eventually?

Im not sure what Christ would have thought of you slut shaming prostitutes, considering he preferred to spend his time amongst them, not amongst Kings.

Educate yourself on trauma responses, Stockholm syndrome, power dynamics, multiple cases of victims of sexual crimes failed by our justice system then take your pick of the multiple reasons why these women didn't come forward.

Im not engaging anymore. Thankfully your views and lack of understanding seems to be in the minority here.

Thank you for those kind words.

In the inquiry into Southport yesterday, the family of the murderer of those little girls admitted that he threatened to kill his parents and brother.

If they had told the authorities, would those little girls have been killed and the others badly wounded?

..or would you consider them to be victims of the killer, - which they were - and therefore did not need to warn anyone, because they were victims too?

llizzie · 06/11/2025 22:06

Now that everyone has had a go at Andrew and the punishments keep coming, the demand by the American Senators is just one more stone thrown. They all want scandal.

The pressure should end. No one should be hounded to the extent he has been and not consider taking their life. If there is much more, he may just decide enough is enough and mention names, but some of the interesting ones are most likely old or dead.

Why have the allegations against Mountbatten and the Kincora Boys Home not been investigated properly ?

To put the record straight so that no spurious posts about that appear:

There is no evidence or credible allegations in public records connecting Prince Andrew to the Kincora Boys Home scandal.

Allegations of abuse at Kincora, a boys' home in Belfast that closed in 1980, have primarily focused on staff members, including William McGrath (an alleged MI5 informant), and, more recently, Lord Mountbatten, the great-uncle and mentor of King Charles III.

A former Kincora resident, Arthur Smyth, has launched legal proceedings alleging he was abused by Lord Mountbatten in 1977. Other victims and whistleblowers have also linked Mountbatten to a wider Anglo-Irish abuse ring.
Prince Andrew has faced extensive allegations related to his association with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and the sex trafficking claims made by Virginia Giuffre, which he vehemently denies and which led to a legal settlement and his removal from public royal duties. However, these separate allegations are distinct from the Kincora scandal and do not involve any connection to the home itself.

Andrew was born in 1960.

MaDugsAFud · 07/11/2025 07:09

My own theory is that since he is clearly sexually dysfunctional, I am wondering if creepy old uncle Mountbatten got us hands on him as a child.

deeahgwitch · 07/11/2025 08:32

I certainly didn’t link Andrew to Kincora @llizzie

deeahgwitch · 07/11/2025 12:43

I was alluding to Earl Mountbatten
