To be annoyed that DS has "gifted us" over 1000 toilet rolls

They arrived by lorry today. We did not know they were coming. Now our spare bedroom is full of them and there are loads in the kitchen and living room as well. He said he got them as "a good deal from work" and he thought we would want them. But he forgot to tell us about it.

I keep loo rolls in an ikea kallax unit in a cupboars. One cube takes 36 standard rolls.
Having seen your second update.... you just need 36 kallax cubes. So errr one of their massive 5x5 units and a 4x3 will make a lovely feature wall in your living room 😬

Well I'm a bit of a prepper and I'd love this.

My son brought 1800 wood screws home for me the other day. I was delighted. We do not routinely screw wood. I'd say our wood screw needs are minimal. So infrequent as to be statistically insignificant. And yet - 1800 WOOD SCREWS!

1000 of something I'd use every day is thrilling. Do you have a loft...?

Yup. I cannot see a downside to this tale. Pack them around the outside walls and you can turn the thermostat down on the heating too. It's a gift that just keeps on giving...

They could go manky, I remember a news item about some daft tart buying hundreds of toilet rolls during Covid lockdowns and they all went mouldy, so make sure they're stored somewhere dry.

Just yesterday I saw an ad for a GIGANTIC Charmin loo roll - it’s so huge it has its own stand/dispensper thing.
It’s ridiculous.

I hope it's 3 ply. I generally have 2 or 3 packs of 32 at home but 1000.😱

I was about 23 and we had ridiculously loads of food/wrong order of food at work. I had been tasked to donate it all. I think in total it was about three carloads I had creatively split around different food banks/kitchens. However I couldn’t shift the big blocks of cheddar cheese (it was in the middle of a heatwave so didn’t have long to figure out a plan).

I drove over to my mum’s and played Tetris in her fridge. I think I got rid of most of things in her fridge as I was pretty brutal to save the cheese as I still had a student mind of ‘this will save you a fortune vs you’ll have cheese sandwiches for months!!’

The OP isn't going to grant peoples wish to post a photo of the 1000+ toilet rolls, so I'll do it for her.

We'd actually love that if it happened to us!! We go through so much bloody toilet roll in our house, that would probably only last us 2 years!
