Running
Yoga
Pilates
Knitting
Crochet
Spinning (on a spinning wheel)
Singing in a choir

That sounds like a lot, now I type it out. I don't spend as much time as I'd like on my craft hobbies. For pilates I go to a class. Yoga and running I just do on my own when I can fit them in!

Never met a spinner! Do you spin your own yarn for the knitting and crocheting? Is it fun?

abracadabra1980 · 20/10/2025 22:27

Hugely - canine behaviour / dog psychology / animal welfare; mildly - politics; geopolitics; economics; sociology; and anything that could be considered the epitome of an old English country village or garden, oh and campervans, motorhomes and tiny homes, and also English farm animals and farming/smallholdings; and am also a novice stocks and shares trader. Weird mix, I know 😊

PermanentTemporary · 20/10/2025 22:28

I think I have pastimes rather than hobbies - reading, radio and podcasts (mostly history), theatre, gigs and concerts, swimming, word puzzles. Long ago I used to row which is a great sport but very time-consuming.

buckeejit · 20/10/2025 22:30

Choir, playing ukelele, gardening, reading, gym, board games, wine club,

PollyDarton1 · 20/10/2025 22:31

Reading - I read tonnes, over a wide spectrum of genres.
Politics and sociology
History
Podcasts
Crochet
Art
Board games

MotherTuckinGenius · 20/10/2025 22:33

RunningNananananananananana · 20/10/2025 22:36

Apart from running, my hobby is spending lots of money on something doing it for a week then consigning it to the cupboard of forgotten hobbies 🫠

JDM625 · 20/10/2025 22:36

Currently:
-Crochet
-Gardening- mainly veg in the summer
-Started sea swimming with a group in the summer. Not laps, but plunging in, having a laugh and hoping I can continue through the winter
-Cooking. I enjoy trying different cuisines and cooking them at home or trying different veg I'm not so familiar with

When younger and fitter:
-Skiing several times a year
-Scuba diving on most holidays
-Rock n roll dancing

Walking our dog
Reading fantasy
Watercolour painting

maudelovesharold · 20/10/2025 22:37

I’d love to be specific, but it would be quite outing, as they’re both a bit niche! Main hobbies are a couple of music groups (same instrument) and a dance class.

LightDrizzle · 20/10/2025 22:38

Painting in oils and pastels
Playing the piano
Reading
Learning a language

Going to art galleries and museums.

I swim but it’s not a hobby. I just go it for some exercise.

CrossChecking · 20/10/2025 22:44

Running, watercolour painting and recently cross stitch. I'm always cycling through hobbies but painting and running are the two that I always stick with.

Playing music

Gaming
Swimming

There are so many things I want to get into, though, but there aren't enough hours in the day!

notacooldad · 20/10/2025 22:50

Mine are the all the usual middle aged women stuff, listening to podcasts, hill walking, cycling, walking my three dogs, pilates, swimming and gym.
Ive go to a lot of gigs and going to three this week.
I quite like an afternoon tea with my friends.

Darksatanicmills · 20/10/2025 22:50

My kids started orienteering at school and I’ve taken it up and am hooked. Running and thinking at the same time. You don’t even know you’re exercising because you’re thinking so much.

I am also in a choir and run.

Appalonia · 20/10/2025 22:51

Took up oil painting after being inspired to do some art after watching Grayson Perry's Art Club during lockdown. It's been such a source of joy for me and I've discovered i I'm not bad at it! Was doing Zumba until the Council shut down the classes. Recently joined the gym, so swimming and doing yoga and pilates. Recently taken up pottery, but it's quite hard, so think it will take a long time to get any good at it...

Added a few pics of my paintings, am just a novice, but I do enjoy it.😁

harveythehorse · 20/10/2025 22:53

Horses. I only have space and money for one in my life and DD has taken that so my current 'hobby' is fulfilling her dreams.

That said, I'm very interested in this as I'm desperate for a hobby I can do in the evening at home which isn't mega expensive but tired eyes/mind/body can cope with.

Spicepie · 20/10/2025 22:57
