To wonder if the rise in gender confusion is due to

The levels of oestrogen in water? For many years now the levels of female hormones in the water supply has been steadily building up, due to the use of hormonal contraception, which cannot be filtered out of the waste water, as well as agricultural practices which contaminate water due to run off from fields into the water supply. This has been affecting marine life for a long time, so it stands to reason that it’s also affecting humans.

I’m sure there’s other factors too, there seems to be a disproportionate number of SEN teens confused about their gender, so maybe it’s a feeling of not belonging for them which leads them to think that they must have been born in the wrong body and that’s why they don’t fit in. But is it possible that there is a rise in genuine confusion in males feeling like females due to the female hormones they’re ingesting every day?

Disclaimer - I’m not a scientist so happy to be corrected!

I'm so sorry, that sounds very hard... I don't suppose there is any option of surgical help? (I understand you might not want that).

How common is it for larger breasts to cause this kind of discomfort? I'd assumed it wasn't very common, but probably that's not the case...

Every woman with a cup size of D or above (which is most women in the UK - average cup size is DD) will experience the above to some extent, getting worse are the cup size increases. Doesn’t mean they don’t love their breasts even if they hate the hassle which you get used to over the years. But for teenage girls it is a huge load to take on, especially the male attention. So when an ideology offers you the chance to remove them it can be very attractive despite all the risks, complications and inability to breast feed (but how many teens ever think about breast feeding later in life?). Gender ideology at that age is not so much about the false promise to change sex as a false promise to return to an uncomplicated childhood by escaping from female sexuality.

How self righteous are you?!

Just bored of pandering to ignorance and stupidity.

Yet voluntary scrolling and commenting on a general public forum for mums?

Honestly, some people’s egos are hilarious. What do you think this forum is?! Do you think anyone on here cares if you respond to them? No need to “pander”, just leave the forum.

And yet, here you are.

Yes, I am. As are you. Difference is I don’t act like posts are beneath me. Very strange to continue to use something that you find so stupid and ignorant!

Do you often need things spelled out for you?

“Yet here you are” was a reference to the hypocrisy of you telling me to scroll past posts without commenting, when you could have done the same with mine.

Being frustrated with the ignorance of one post does not necessitate leaving an entire forum.

I feel that the free discourse around “science” without the ignorance of such discourse being pointed out, has led us to a particularly stupid point in history. Vaccine denial, flat earthers etc. The OP was positing something so stupid, so unrooted in science or research, that I felt annoyed and commented in passing. Notably, as did others.

You are not the MN post police, but seem to have taken up this role voluntarily. God, the irony of calling me egotistical when you have taken it upon yourself to set out by whom and how this forum should be used…

Surely having a hypothesis is a key part of the scientific method, so there's nothing wrong with the OP speculating on a possible connection between two phenomena.

How rude you are. Next time, if you don’t like the look of a thread, and it’s below you, just leave it. No need to be so bratty to people.
