I can’t understand why I’d never heard of him before now.

Oh well.

Horrific about what he did though (just reading these comments)

PruthePrune · 11/10/2025 17:56

Well done to the lag that did it.

REDB99 · 11/10/2025 17:56

He was depraved. I’m glad he’s been killed. I hope he was terrified and knew what was happening. Good riddance.

FionnulaTheCooler · 11/10/2025 17:56

Oh well, no big loss to society there.

turnarounddot · 11/10/2025 17:57

Only heard of him today but good.

TimeForATerf · 11/10/2025 17:57

Duplicated post

TimeForATerf · 11/10/2025 17:57

I hope the paramedics stopped off at Greggs for their breakfast on the way to that call out.

Jumpingthruhoops · 11/10/2025 17:57

Noodledog · 11/10/2025 17:29

The early reports are saying he was stabbed to death by another prisoner.

Well, I would've thought that was obvious!

Cousinchat · 11/10/2025 17:58

CryMyEyesViolet · 11/10/2025 17:50

Well I’m truly astounded that people listen to music and think about the lead singer and their life while listening to it.

I don’t hear an R Kelly song and immediately think - sex trafficker, or an MJ song and not enjoy it because of paedophilia allegations. It’s separating art and artist I suppose.

And there were other people in that band whose livelihoods he destroyed. I’d be more than happy to enjoy their work and have them be paid royalties for it.

I found this really interesting as I absolutely think those things! I could never listen to R Kelly or MJ again due to those things, they are blocked on my Spotify etc.

weird how we’re all so different!

InNewYorkNoShoes · 11/10/2025 17:58

Someone will come along and say this isn’t what we should be saying in a civilised society etc but . . . Burn in hell. He wanted to rape a little baby.
I wish I would send whoever did it some commissary.

caringcarer · 11/10/2025 17:58

ohidoliketobe · 11/10/2025 17:28

I hope it was painful and he was frightened.

Edited

👏👏

If you're glad this happened to Ian Watkins, are you also in favour of capital punishment? Because you really can't be of the 'hope they turned a blind eye' brigade and also oppose the death penalty, can you? Or is murdering a monster okay if a prisoner did it? I'm also reminded of David Blunkett's comments about cracking open the champagne when Shipman killed himself. We should just be honest and say that none of these bastards deserve to live.

Episode 2 Whatever GIF

Boo hoo

PruthePrune · 11/10/2025 18:00

@CryMyEyesViolet

I always felt sorry for the rest of the band because that fucker ruined their careers and even though completely innocent, will always tainted by him.

Kibble19 · 11/10/2025 18:00

Excellent. I truly hope he suffered and felt every last injury he sustained. Hope it took him a good while to die.

If there is a hell, he’s on the way there for eternity.

I would be in favour of it for crimes against children, yes.

What’s wrong with being in favour of capital punishment? People like this should not be walking the streets or costing us money. I’m all for the death penalty.

I can't separate the art from the artist. When it comes to light that yet another man is a paedophile - I'm off. I won't listen to their music, watch their films, enjoy their paintings. I feel sad for their close colleagues (the ones that truly did not know) and the possibility of losing their livelihood by being guilty by association, but...nope.

He was in prison for multiple sex offences against children. taxpayers money should not be used to feed and house such scum. good riddance

The turn a blind eye comment aside there is a huge difference between supporting state sanctioned murder and not being too bothered that a piece of scum has taken their own life or been taken out by another piece of scum.

The authorities won't turn a blind eye, they know who did this and he will be charged and time added onto his sentence, there is a good chance he is a lifer anyway.

I've worked in a men's prison, none of those beasts had any idea that nice Ms Americano would have happily seen them swing.
